Although there have, as far as I know been no rumours about the removal of Nemesis from Alton Towers, I want to hear your opinion. As Nemesis is reaching 16 (I think) it is getting very old, one of the oldest B&M's. In my opinion I think Nemesis will be removed in the next few years and replaced by a crappy ride much like the new SW6 coaster opening next year. What do you think? And do you think that people would stop this from happening, is this really Britain's favourite coaster?

This is also my 2nd favourite coaster, so I would be particuarly angry if its removal was announced...

Toxic
Thanks

Do you really think that is even a possibility at this stage? It's not even worth the discussion.

Nemesis is one of the landmark coasters of the UK, there's no reason it can't last for another 15 years.

look at the longevity of rides like Corkscrews, there is no way a ride like Nemesis is going anywhere (short of a major major accident) within the next 20 years

no way. Alton towers would be commiting suicide if they tore it down.
Gimme a good coaster and nobody gets hurt.

Can't they just re-amp what ever that needs to be renewed??
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

^ Yep they can even get new trains if they have too. It's too good of a coaster to get removed. It's just one of those rides that is irreplaceable.

I heard from an inside source that they were going to tear it down and add a "Batman Dark Knight" indoors wild mouse coaster in its spot.

I heard they were getting rid of it for a Hannah Montana coaster. They're keeping the blood river, though.

I just think it will because Merlin dont make the best of choices for theme parks, they have raised prices etc and I just think they might because they seem to be doing stupid things, and my 1st favourite coaster is Silverstar, gouldy

I've heard some terrible things about SiSta.
Trimmed to hell much?

I was meant to be going to Alton yesterday to ride this beast at dark :D But couldn't get enough money for the train :/

So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.
