Oh wow, all these responses to choose from ... too bad I left my junior high school equivalency language guide at home so I am unable to speak your dribble effectively - that is, it impedes my ability to insult you at a level you can understand without resulting to thug-o-nomics.

i stand corrected, you are in the air force

which brings me to another point: the air force is the military branch for pussywillows who aren't man enough to kill a person in combat...now remember: I was considering joining the air force, pretty much just to fly planes, kuz I am a hippie and I don't like war. Now I am not insulting you, I am insulting society. A man is not a man if he cannot kill another man in combat. I am not saying that I could...
Killing people with planes, guns, boats, tanks, vehicles...its just not manly. Knives and swords are manly.
Keep in mind that you are less of a pussywillow than me, because I am a hippie, and I'm not manly enough to kill someone with a gun, let alone with a knife or a sword.
I am not insulting you. I am insulting society in general. We are all pussywillows because we all rely on others to do things for us. When was the last time you killed your food and ate it? or even picked it from the ground and ate it? Exactly my point

lol why do you wanna ban me? seriously I thought that since your in the air force you would not have time for WWS, therefore you were lying...i stand corrected.

When was the last time I killed my own food and ate it? Well, deer season does not begin for another few weeks -- so, duh.

lol what do you kill it with??? a gun??? a composite bow??? Exactly

Plus, when it's not deer season, who do you rely on to get food? plus you do not survive solely on deer.

lol did i mention i like your banner? lol so true (even though I'm not Christian, I've been to churches for religous ceremonies of relatives...they are so boring)

Well, I am not sure if you know that I the Pastor of a church, so things that are funny about churches always tickle me and I try to look for them in my own life/church. As far as where do I get my food supply? Simple, my wife goes to the market and stocks the shelves as needed. And the last deer I killed was with my bare hands. I figured a gun was too easy and a bow takes too much time, so I jumped on his back and strangled him. Is that "manly" enough for you? (I am kidding of course.)

OK yeah wow.. this just goes to prove im pretty much in the dark with computers. i don't even know what Linux is [xx(]

i don't listen to commercials. ever. i reasearched the MAC online via non-apple related websites and windows. so.. i assume im getting good info.

i've been using a MAC OS-X in my school's artlab. there is some downtime sometimes, like it freezes when opening up my Camera or a big pic in photoshop, but that's really only the problem i've had.

so yeah.. i'm still pretty much at a standstill

EDIT: I have one question. does the Mac Mini replace my current tower? or what? cause i don't get it xD

if you see it that way, fine... but I have better things to do than sit here and argue with two people stuck up by their own knowledge

yea the Mini does replace your tower. it's nice if you like small size over performance. A mini would be alright, but if you really want a home computer from Apple for media that still has good performance, just get an iMac. they're not that expensive and they sell at a decent price.

oh yea, and sorry for misusing your thread, I'll stop.

well.. here's an average scenario i used to have on my PC before it slowly killed itself:

iTunes or WinAmp is open
Then Photoshop CS2 along side Adobe Bridge
The internet via Mozilla
Switch open and/or convert music files
AIM
And now NoLimits since I found it.

the Mac's in the lab can run iTunes, Bridge, Photoshop, Camino or w/e smoothly, but i have no clue what it's like on a XPS or whatever new version there is.

so.. which could run those smoother?

A pc is good if you know enough about what to do to prevent a lot of crap from happening to it. But I'm guessing your whole family doesn't, so if your whole family uses it, a Mac would probably be better. They just work better for a group of people who aren't especially computer smart. and they're more fun [:)]

IF YOU GET A PC, DON'T GET AIM!!!!!! AIM screws up your computer SO MUCH DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED!!!!!!! The reason being that AIM is left on on the computer. The fact that AIM has no virus protection, and since it is downloaded, it can block through firewalls and virus protection (don't ask how, its way too complicated to explain). This leaves your computer suceptible to viruses. DON'T GET AIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH! It will leave your computer useless, with so many viruses that your computer will be on the brink of explosion.

I suggest AOL 9.0 (or wtvr new edition comes out when you get your new computer) This protects VERY well against viruses, especially when used in part with MacAffe.
ALSO do not use Norton anti-virus with AOL, only use it with Internet Explorer.

The main point is...AIM ChuffS UP YOUR COMPUTER SO MUCH YOU CAN'T EVEN COMPREHEND THE CORRUPTION IN ONE SQUARE FOOT (OR LESS) OF SPACE!

Tip: Ya need some thicker skin Z00 ... nothing here should ever be taken too personally, ok? (Unless you know someone is really pissed at you.) I can testify that a little needling is a good thing, it keeps you honest and opens doors to communication through humor where straight forward stuff fails, at times. :-)
