Well if we had it my way I would just unionize SF operations department and watch corporate poop a break trying to make it work in their favor.

That's well weird, the supervisors at Cedar Point get paid less than the UK minimum wage! I guess we have a higher cost of living...

I only get $8 an hour, and Cedar Point never gives me overtime. I really wish there was a better job for me here, but there isn't. If my apartment didn't cost only $320/month, I'd be flat broke.

^ During the season there is no such thing as overtime! There are next to no seasonal laws. Cedar Point will let you work up to 80 Hours per week!! NO OVERTIME!! Once you hit 79 a supervisor will come and take your place.

Whats so special about 80 hours? I have had a few 150 hour workweeks at SF, around that time I think it was the first time may weekly paycheck reached the $800 mark. Supervisor pay was like $5.25 then. It was seasonal and didn't pay over time, if it did my paychecks would've been around the $1400 mark. If CF unionized, salary's would be prohibited from doing the work of hourlys, and anything over 40 hours would be time and a half.

Go forth now and protest!

Well, actually, I don't work seasonally; I work year-round at Castaway Bay, so I do get paid overtime when I go over 40 hours. They just won't let me work that much.

I was the only operator for about a week and they didn't want to train anyone else, my longest day was 7:15AM - 4:15AM. Somebody decided it would be cool to have early season pass holder ERT followed by after hours ACE ERT followed by a really late employee party all on the same day. I only took a break when the ride broke down, and that was only enough time to run and take a piss. My breakfast, lunch, and dinner where brought to me.
