So the ram that went missing almost two weeks ago arrived today (After I ordered half of the replacements for it this morning from NewEgg, you can thank captain Murphy for that I'm sure), unfortunately the ram that arrived today caused the server to be unstable with random blue screens and was only registering 7454MB when it should be 8192MB. I have already contacted them to get an RMA and shipped the bad ram back UPS overnight for a refund. I also ordered 4GB from NewEgg today and it should be here sometime between now and Friday, when one of the vendors issues me a refund for the other stuff I RMAed I will order the other 4GB from NewEgg as well. The bad drive was returned a few days ago and the new one is installed and working great.
Server 2008 R2 X64 and SQL Server 2008 X64 R2 are installed, tested, and working quite well. I have been testing the server with 8GB of non-ecc ram and under a 15K hits per minute bench mark ram usage was only about 1200MB, which is almost half of what the current server uses with half as many hits.
I was able to install the COMs that CC needs to run and from what I can tell they are working, However I was only able to install an unmodded version of snitz, but I think the CC code will work as well.
With all of the delays I think we are going to miss our November 1st deadline, I have decided to push the migration back to the 10th which better aligns with everyone's schedules and will give me enough time to get the kinks worked out.
