IT really prefers smaller segments and more accurate banking though. Your track really needs to be as perfect as you can get it before using it, so Buster doesnt lie when he says that.
I will be uploading a ride that used it and my segments werent really that uniform in their lengths, and thus, I had some areas where the banking wasnt soo hot. It ran good before the heartline, runs better with it, BUT, it didnt everything perfect.
Theres nothing to *sigh* about because really you have to have a really dang good track for this to do anything good. Its much like Busters smoother, if your track is crap, itll just make it heartlined crap. If its good, itll be heartlined good.
Brtnboarder: Wow, a flippant comment from you. I'm shocked. Really, this makes it no easier to make a smooth ride, and in fact makes it harder, as it actually tends to maginify any rough transistions. More realistic? You bet. Easier? Not really. Reall,y get over yourself. For some reason, I bet if this was released for Mac, you wouldn't be bitchin'.
well, most I don't see what you peeps are complaining about, the point of NL is to make a good and realistic track, no body cares how its done, just as long as its done right. Tools just make it easier to be done right, and more realistic, and for the most part, you have to have skill in order for these tools to work properly. Ex. No body can make a perfectly smooth ride, the smoother does that for you, do I care, yes, and I love that thing to pieces, I'm pretty sure the best of the track builders use it. There's nothing to sigh about, its your choice to use it, and how to build your track, besides, an easier way to build good track can get people more interested in Building NL, and also, not as many people will load crap tracks (if they realize to play around with NL, and make several coasters before you send something)
