korg is releasing a REAL (albeit tiny) analog synth very soon . to say it looks limited is an understatement but it has a REAL voltage controlled oscillator, an lfo that can work the oscillator or the (insert drum roll)most important feature A GENUINE CLONE OF THE MS-10/MS-20 voltage controlled filter that can accept external audio!!!!!!!! best of all its going to sell for a shocking < 80 bucks !!!! ..

That is an impressive bit of kit there and the price tag is incredibly low.

nope. i suppose it could be modded , but it's got simply the basics of a 100% analog synthesizer .. a vco, and a low pass vcf with an lfo and a ribbon controller as a bonus. its only input is a 1/8 audio in for the filter and a 1/8 headphone out. the filter is it's selling point .. an ms 10 sells for around 600 bucks street price and an ms 20 for around 1500 dollars (add a few hundred dollars for ebay price)both were discontinued in the very early 80's. those lpf's are cherished and used for just about everything. and to answer oscar's question .. it's not complicated at all! i would highly recommend this to anyone who wanted to start at the very beginning to learn subtractive analog synthesis.

are all those sound effects coming from just this machine? or is it hooked up to some sort of sound effect generator? (jay keep in mind i have no clue what i'm talking about when it comes to sound effects or synth. All i ever record is acoustic stuff.) I know i'm a noob hahaha.

I found out something pretty cool last week. One of my favourite Hardstyle Artists use only Analogue synths, They have a MASSIVE studio for them all.
I want one of these Synths, Korg do some great products.

the notes and the sounds were multitracked.. meaning he recorded one after the other . some of them are fed through a slight echo .
