News Suggestion

Hey! I love The Architect's post, however why can't he 'unlock' the topic for reading or discussion? Most of the time, I see an title I enjoy or am interested in and search for the topic on another site. Then when I return to CC, I don't bother reading or posting on the topic. Just something that has been bothering me!

The posts are auto posted and need to be moderated before going live. If they went live instantly, there wouldn't be anything to read due to the skipping of the moderation process and the content not displayed since the post is live but not approved. Thus we need to manually approve each post and TheArchitect is a behind I think.

I've always wanted to know how those articles are auto-posted on behalf on TheArchitect.
Is he signed in somewhere that constantly scans sites for new articles and then it posts it here?

Couldn't you hide the News Bot's posts until they are moderated?

We cannot knex, I thought they were hidden from public view until moderation was approved.

Only the content is hidden, we can still click on it

Yeah this really annoyed me for a bit but now all you have to do is copy and paste the headline/thread name into Google and it'll show up. Lol no point in reading a news headline and not having access to the article until hours later, eh?

Perhaps have unapproved news in a hidden forum and when approved, just move it to the appropriate forum would most likely be the best solution. I need to see if the code allows for that so it doesn't keep trying to repost the news in said forum if threads of past are not found.

I could fix this now for the current coding we have but what's another month or so to have it truly fixed? Right?
