My record for number of flips in one Shell Shock ride is 125... there's a counter behind the seats. My roomate's record is 152.

Wow. 152 flips on Shell Shock? That's amazing, considering I couldn't even do one ;).

It takes lots of practice... we usually go once or twice a week. No lines for anything on weekdays!

It would be pretty easy with a long cycle. Once you get it going it basically becomes human propeller the ride.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

so on a 1:25 ride that's about 2+ flips/sec. I don't believe there is enough time for 70 flips let alone 152. The ride simply isn't long enough.

One flip doesn't take more than half a second when you get going so I think its possible

Even though I still have to ride these type of rides. On the Sky Roller it was super easy to roll an insane amount of times:

You will neeever catch me on the bottom bunk of that ride. Not with the stuff that comes out of people on rides like that. It's the top three things (heights, spinning, and flipping) that turns people into sprinklers with zero protection, no sneeze guards, goggles or anything for the bottom row, with less seat than a SLC. How does it load? It looks like the outer arms are fixed.

Edit: There used to be a spinning ride with cars sitting on arms that had a sort of Ferris wheel rotation. Is that still there?

I read your "Shell Shock" ride record stuff! 125 or 152 flips? Just wow! Reminds me of this video about 8 years ago. 107 Flips are even too many! xD

^Too bad that Top Spin doesn't come as often near the Dutch boarder as it used to do. That operator has some extreme sick skills. He can flip the gondola from stop to rolling within roughly 6-10ft of arm movement. That operator as well can flip the gondola clockwise meanwhile the arms are running counter clockwise. Fricking insane! <3

I feel sick just watching that lol.
The one at great adventure only has like 3 sessions of flipping, and that is already enough for me :P
