I doubt he's started on NL2 right now, he's probably busy with his coaster firm "customers" and trying to manage this 1.6 patch.

He has said that he has started at NL2. But its a lot of work since almost all the code has to be rewritten.

The new cars seem to have a lot more polygon detail than usual, hopefully there won't be framerate issues. Either way they look pretty nice. So far, I don't think they'll work with terrain shadows and textures, catwalks, trees, and stations, but whatever.

Yea. Cause textures you can do on your own. Catwalks are irrelevant. If they bother you that much, dont play. Trees you can do yourself and make look alot better and stations...you can make the old one look way cooler if you get handy with textures.

It also doesnt take a genius or an 800 dollar program to be good or learn texturing.

It takes at least 4 hours to make just catwalks, and don't even get started with trees. And what now, terrain texturing for shadows? Also, I was talking about muiltilayer terrain textures where you "spray" areas, looks a lot better than using 1 color map and one detail map. And you say I shouldn't "play" because I would like better catwalks? Bull.

Anyways, for now I'm just curious as to what other gerstlauer rides they might add in since they've worked with them a lot. I wonder how they're progressing on the B&M/looper stuff, they haven't shown anything about them for a while.

umm, does the modeller you use not have a copy and paste function? in no way should catwalks take 4 hours unless you're doing it via the NL supports, which is absolutely a stupid idea.

and you took what he said the wrong way. he said if you don't like the catwalks, don't play meaning that if something so minute like that bothers you THAT much just forget about it

and man if this Andreas Simonis guy is the one who's been making the other eurofighter tracks... he kinda sucks

yea I like the new gerstlauer cars, and I know everyone is wonderin why he's doing MORE with the eurofighters. The thing is he probly likes gertslauer's stuff and has ridden one or two of em. Has anyone here actually ridden one? Not many people in the USA have. Its also somethin they're payin him to do, so it only seems natural that he'd put it in.

^ They aren't paying him to put it in, they paid him to make it exclusively for them, then Ole asks permission to use it in the next update, and they either say yes or no.[;)]

Yeah I know we skipped a week. Everybody was too busy working on the update or with other things that I forgot to update the site. None the less we are proud to show the new Gerstlauer Eurofighter 2 car model this week that will be part of NL1.6. Funny thing is that the first real coaster that uses these cars is called 'Speed - NoLimits'. We like that name very much ;-)
The real coaster has already opened to the public at Oakwood Theme Park, UK. Thanks go to Gerstlauer and Oakwood Theme Park for allowing us to show the car model on the Oakwood Speed track with the proper car texture concept design. The design that went on the real coaster differs a little bit though, thats because our design was based on a concept drawing and they enhanced it later on. NL 1.6 will still contain the original Eurofighter coaster style. The new Eurofighter will be a separated coaster style.
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

For those catwalks, I didn't have the construction kit track exporter, so I had to use the old terraformer and follow the track along there. But the curvature was quite off, so I had to do a lot of guess and check work, saving it and having a look at it, not to mention it was for a 420 lift based strata coaster. And either way, I never said anything about NL's catwalks making the program not worth using, I only said that they probably wouldn't work with those items for 1.6 since they're busy with other stuff.

Those don't look that much different from the other ones to me, and they aren't a commonly used track style so it's kinda small news to me. But hey it's progress.

I could take that one step further, but in the rare chance that his mother is actually dead... I'll leave it the way it is... I have no regrets![lol]

Well that's unfortunate because I wouldn't joke about it, check Gouldy's thread about "Goodbye Dad".

You all don't think they're only working on NL1.6 do you? Little birdie told me that NL2 isn't far behind.....

Is it me, or is that NL 1.6 preview edition folder on my NLDC page feeling a little heavy... new screenie maybe? NL2 possibly? :D

Might be a good idea to check.

Hmmm, interesting dcs. I don't know if that one would be NL2 though. Seems like it'd be pretty graphic intensive to me.

I wouldn't be sure either if I didn't get the e-mail from Mr. Lange...

He asked me to relay the message that he doesn't want you all saying he leaves WWS out of things anymore...
