Interesting stuff there, those renders are pretty nice, but now if only the game had a decent lighting system...

Now, how are those catwalks coming along? [lol]

Pfft, I'd rather have catwalks than flyers, and as for the renders...great, but they are just renders, not an accurate representation of what they will be like in game

I'd rather have both[^]

yea so I like this update, and I really hope that they include a track made with that cartexture in the update tracks. Having said that, I REALLY hope the next progress update we see is something that everyones waiting for, not just some extra piece to something we've already seen.

I spent the whole weekend with Phyter of the dev team. He also agreed that the whole fascination with catwalks is kind of funny. Just create your own if you need a new one that badly.

Plus Edge, new catwalks would not get you back in the game. I know that much ;)

just to draw everyones attention to the last update real quick

Image

Notice all the different colors used, especially the ones that would normally be the same color property (such as the parts holding the seats in and the other "gear" sections below). Anyone but me think they're gonna include a couple new color properties?

Agreed, besides that "colorful" part of the train, there aren't really that many different varieties of color. It's probably just a cartexture.

Does anyone know what the next update will also consist of? As of now it's primarily only the Floorless and Spinning Mouse type.

The only thing I really would like to see implemented is the ability to terraform down as well as up.

Just raise up your terrain a hundred feet...then you can terraform down, lol.

Agreed, I have better things to do with my life than spending days sitting on a computer making 3ds and stuff

Bah, we've got enough coaster types already. Besides, no one ever takes the time to make custom trees, catwalks, nor stations, so fixing those would be good for everyone, and it's just odd that the trains and brakes are at least 364 times more detailed. Oh well, doesn't really matter that much as long as we don't have the flat crap in NL 2.

You wont have that stuff in NL2. NL2 is going to be insanely sweet and will use a very cool system that will make it a joy to work with.

Do we have enough coaster types? Sure, I dont use them all but sometimes I am forced to use only certain ones when I could use another.

Plus, as has been said 194,923,813,125 times before - they are trying to bring the rest of the 3d models up to par with what they will need in NL2 so that all they have to do is port them over.

I would rather see those updated than to have great looking catwalks and HORRIBLE trains. The B&M trains suck.

Anyone notice the B&M Inverts dont even have WHEELS?

I've noticed that for a while. I do agree that those trains need some major work. Compared to the new Vekoma and Intamin trains the B&M ones look very boxy.

Whenever I said to stop the remodeling of the trains for catwalks...

^^They can only do so much.

Plus, its already been said that its not just a quick fix. It would require alot of recoding.

Why spend all that time recoding when you could just ignore it, update models and easier things for NL1.x and use that coding on NL2?

I was just adding more to the case incase you guys havent heard it all. The catwalk issue I know for a fact will NOT be implimented untill 2 so get over it. Its such a friggin tiny detail.

Heck, most of you probably press the + key and jump up the hill anyways. And even if you do, you probably spend 10% of your time on the lift hill or brakes and the rest on the actual ride or zooming around in free mode.

there's a bit of a difference between the physics of a spinning car and a bobsled car
