Well, you lose the feeling of speed standing up. They are a novelty. Limited capabilities. Most designs, minus 2 or 3 (Scorcher, RRevenge for sure) are quite rough.

Plus the trains pretty much suck. Its just an idea that didnt pan out like I think they wanted it too.

Those aren't the best ones, but I'm pretty sure that if they did another one today, it'd be a lot better due to the fact that everyone uses computers now. They would probly make the trains more comfy too.

I'm pretty sure they will be. I mean, they have common sense, they wouldn't let you not get your money's worth. I really hope they do cause, the ones they showed are cool, but it'd be fun to get that good old feel again with some more polys [:p]

and no, I dont think anyone's answered it in this forum yet

^ I doubt it because they're the same exact train with different restraints. That and if they made both, then the few times that some one does make a shwarzkopf, they'll still use the other one anyone, so the new one would have been pointless. Just don't worry abuot the restrain system. You can't feel it, it can't bother you, just enjoy the rest of the train, you guys are so picky.[lol]

^I'm sure 15 bucks out of your wallet (or your parents) won't do too much damage. For all the hard work these guys put into this program, they deserve a little something.

Well no choice, you either pay and get it or you don't. I'm sorry, but your being cheap by not paying for it, do you know how much effort they put into this?

YOu should have ended it with your first sentence. Its as simple as that, if you don't want to pay, fine, don't pay. But if you want the update your going to have to pay. Its up to the consumer. Being cheap has nothing to do with it, and if they don't think an update is worth $15 then fine, they don't think its worth $15, and they don't get the new update as a result of it. Who cares. Its thier desision. I'm not going to lose sleep if they don't have the update. Ole's not going to lose sleep, and you shouldn't lose sleep. If they want it they'll pay, if they don't, they won't, as simple as that.[:D]

I don't think they're making a wise choice by charging for the update. The update doesn't include enough new features to charge...just improved models and maybe a few new track types. I think they either need to change the way you build and make various other HUGE changes, or wait until NL2 to start charging...I don't think it's the people that won't buy it that are being cheap, but the NL team that is making some unwise decisions if they charge more than like. Five dollars.

wow, lol. okay first of all, do you know how time consuming and overall difficult it is to do what they're doing? I'm thankful for free updates, but you gotta be real about it sometime. no matter how much you like doing what you do, there comes a point where money's an inevitable variable. second, we're lucky to have free updates til now and to only pay about $15 or less for this is a good deal considering how most other games charge full price no matter what for any kind of expansion. lastly, no one ever said this is all we're getting in the update.

you're very cheap and unreasonable if you think +/- $15 is too much for what they're doing. you just can't be so demanding of em'.

Can't we all just sit and wait until it releases. I have a challenge. No posting here until it is out. I know someone will post because A: They wanna rub it in my face, or B: they are completely oblivious and just read the main post, and nobody else's (hence not reading mine for the challenge).
X2 ??? Intimidator 305 ??? Millennium Force ??? Iron Rattler ??? El Toro ??? Fury 325 ??? Maverick ??? Skyrush ??? Twisted Timbers ??? Voyage

What about every update since NL 1.0? What if all those ideas were kept untill now and then released all at once?

You gotta put things in perspective. Look at all thats been gotten since the initial release. Its worth it. Hes making back some of what hes lost. Hes got his fan base, now he needs to make a little money to take it too the next step.

real is right....the money he will make on 1.6 will do two things, a) pay some of his modelers and himself for some REALLY hard work, but more importantly, b) give ole and the dev team the resources to make NL2 THAT much better.
