There, i finally got something going!! It comes within half a foot of the border at one point though. I have no idea how i managed that with such a huge template [:)] I've got a nice drop and some air bliss!

Wow...changed it a bit, and now the track comes within a few inches of the border. Making some more good progress, pics to come soon!

Arrows just dont do this-

Why don't you stfu and worry about your own ride?

Wait, you've never seen an arrow do a corkscrew before? Are you sure you know anything about rollercoasters?

is a lift that lauches after an E-brake ok?? (it doesnot speed up the ride at all)

not a clue what that means, but 2 lifts or launches only!

Just double checking Gazag, but is one lift and one launch acceptable? Please tell me you don't want to crawl into the brakes! [:p]

A launch is defined as a section of track that increases the speed at which the train is currently traveling.

I'm sorta puzzled aswell...are transport wheels on a turn into the station acceptable? If not, if I make them the speed of the train without them (4.5 kmh) is that ok? If I do that though, the train picks up speed once it's "grabbed" by the station.

Any solutions?

transport wheels from the breaks to the station i will not count as launch. if its on the MBCR and helps the train reach the final breaks then ill count it as a launch. and the best way to make mag breaks is to use brake sections and use the dissable brake function then set the transport section like you would a transport section. this way you get an extra block on your ride.

Relax and stop being so defensive young grasshopper. You clearly are missing what I am talking about due to young untrained eyes?

[EDIT] Understood.

I know the lateral max is 1.5, and mine goes to 1.4. I know it *seems* okey, but what if on another comp it goes to 1.5? 1.5 is MAX, so you can HIT 1.5, and NOT excede, and still qualify, right?

'nother question, gazag...

Can I assume that by "cannot go above the red line", you just mean the track? Because my coaster car is well above the line, but the blue track line in the editor stays below it.

Yeah,

A: Jimmy's post was slightly over the line, but
B: As a designer and in coaster knowledge he's 100X better/more knowledgeable than SFMM homie, so SFMM, your whole "young grasshopper" and "young untrained eyes" attack was unwarranted, since he basically owns you in NL, yet
C: surprisingly Jimmy apparently didn't understand that SFMM wasn't referring to the corkscrew itself, but the fluidity of it's design (though I bet he did, but wanted to have an argument), however
D: It *is* their ride, and what I see as a horrible 1st round track style choice may have influenced their design style choice, so I can't completely agree with SFMM homie's original criticism (though I do partly), yet
E: if they post pictures of their ride in this thread, they are subject to criticism so there's nothing wrong with SFMM's post, whether I completely agree or not.

Verdict: Jimmy's post saying for SFMM to STFU was over the line, but SFMM homie was out of line and out of his league when trying to put Jimmy down.

Suggestion: SFMM, if you're going to try to own someone online because of something they said to you, make sure you have the credentials to back up your words.

Why are we trying to "pwn" our fellow community? SFMMHomie (more Dynamix) and Jimmy are both respectable here and very good designers. Nobody needs to be putting each other down over something that's not even stated in the rules. Where does it say that it MUST be Arrow style?

Also, why correct people? This is contest ya retards. You're trying to beat each other to the end. Would you give a cyclist in the Tour De France a better gear set than what you may or may not have? C'mon now, use your heads.

Theres Mr. Settler! Thanks, Iron Man. Although this has gotten the thread off topic, and my question was avoided.

I honestly don't see a big problem with a fluid Arrow coaster. I'm currently trying to build a coaster that I feel would represent Arrow today if it still existed. That means, smoother rides, lower lats, and more complex maneuvers. However, my ride is still true to classic arrow design, such as midly abrupt air, as found on Corkscrew at CP.

SFMM Homie, ever ridden Tennessee Tornado? If not, then dont speak on what Arrow cant and can do. Its absolutely smooth and the track design itself is superb. I think its smoother than majority of the B&M's I have been on. Not only that, it features loops that are completely unique.

But with that said, Arrow never got to showcase what it could do in terms of numbers. They pretty much went under after TT was released and if you get to Dollywood to ride it youll understand that saying an Arrow couldnt do a heartline or any other manuever than even B&M does is rubbish!

Didnt arrow whip out X right before they went out of buisness also?

Definitly a highly innovative ride.
