To my understanding you followed your own goddamned rules CJD instead of changing them around on people and allowing people to bend the rules at will. Gazag knew you had a rule infraction before you changed that ride and yet it was allowed to slide whereas other legit tracks were not allowed to slide.

1. Are we allowed to steal a track? That's a loophole in the system.
2. Are we allowed to use a previously made track? That's a loophole in the system.

Alright, I'm through, and working with drummerkid should be great (we could make a soundtrack to our ride ). I hope all this drama gets worked out, and I completely understand why people are upset, but lets just get on with it.

Well, after reading about everything(!) from page 4x up to now...

At the beginning of this contest I had quite regretted not to have entered. Everything looked exciting and challenging. Now, I'm happy and relieved with NOT at all taking part in this chaotic [insert favorit '#$%&' here!].

My humble suggestion for everyone taking his very own NL works serious (at whatever skill level) would be this one: Get out of this contest ASAP! I do expect more arbitrary and unexplained decisions coming up and I do expect more legit questions staying unanswered. There is not a single sign that this would change. Fake "letters of intents" just do not make it better. So don't anymore rant along, but make a decision. And do decide in favor of your own efforts and how these are apprechiated.

This could really have been great fun!
But it's already a pain with only watching it.

i have 42 of the tracks saved on my comp
i have ridden all of em and it could be just me but I think there were only 3 or 4 really good rides. I rode my ride in the back seat to check for pumping and jolts prolly 30 times. If there were any, I fixed em and if they're still there, they are SOO much better than 1/2 of the rides.

about the prefab supports and elements...
Id rather ride a ride w/ a prefab 0g roll and corkscrew than a lot of the ride's uncomfortable barrel rolls and underbanked turns and crawling.

Am i mad, no. i gotta kick outa reading all the other complaints...

I think its time to stop bitching at eachother. CJD found a loophole and used it. Its totaly unfair for others and I think he doesn't deserve to go through this way, but still he just followed the rulez. I think that gazag just need to carefully think out his next step in this contest, cuss we don't want a disaster like in this round. I would suggest that he asks someone to help him with the contest and to just go on and post round 2.

We all have to learn from our mistakes, and this one was a bigger one, but still, I think we shouldn't bash him on the mistake.

Ok, I'll make this short. Apart from all the other things mentioned, the most important point for my decision is that Tracks that didn't follow the rules got through to round 2 while tracks that didn't brake a single rule got thrown out just because the judge feels like that.
I regret having spent 10-12 hours of work on my ride.

(This shouldn't be a problem for the contest anyway. There's enough DQed tracks to advance to my spot...)

jeez... if I drop out, will you guys give gazag a break? I didn't think my re-submission would cause this much of an uproar.

I've gotta admit though, I am also against the random decision for disqualifying people because of failing tunnel tests... that was never mentioned in the rules.

True that the failing tunnel tests wasnt a rule. Im sure that the next few rounds will be better judged and made better. It's just the first round. Though it is still important, it's only round 1. I hope round 2 will be better at least.

please trust me on this that round 2 wil;l be totally diffrent. the rules are not being made by myself but by coolbeans as he seems to have a more indepth knowlege of rules. the ratings will be far far more detailed streaching throught a very higly detaild analasys of al the aspects of the trackwork.

im very sorry that some of you feel you must drop out and i am sorry but i would very much like dcs to get incontact with me asap. and im sorry for my dyslexia. i cannot help having dyslexia and if i could i would.

and coasterkidmwm. its in the site rules you cannot steal tracks so i dont have to state that and none of the templates im pretty shure will fit anything you have previoulsy made will fit in the tamplates. plus im shure youll agree its far more fun to create than to reuse your old tracks.

and if you two are droping out the 2 people to take your places are coreyml ad djtommy

so coreyml will now be with rct3-crazy
and djtommy will be with coaster david

Way to be a quitter and wuss. other people have a bit of an uneven match, but at least that uneven match was fairly done.

I'm sorry, it really hasn't anything to do with you man. But I just find this thread rediculous and everyone sucking up to anyone else, you have my mercy. Everything I think has been said and it's just not worth the effort I've already put into my round 1 entry. And to everyone saying Coasterkidmwm is angry because CJD made it...better grow some...no, not balls, but some brain. Why would he be jealous? Because his track was at LEAST completely on par with CJD's entry, and even fitted into the requested guidelines. Pretty weird to be jealous at that. It is not your fault that you made it CJD, it is also not the worst thing for trying it, but that it was accepted while others were obviously treated wrong just is not right. It is nice to see that some people actually care about having a fair contest and it's nice to see you(gazag) trying to do things better in round two. I'm courious on what's to come.
