Well since I did the topic of the worst restrain I thought I would bring up no restraints. This is a thrill riders heaven [worship]

So has anyone reading this been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach England. Well if you have you know what I'm getting too!

Yes Blackpool is known for its classic wooden coasters. In fact they believe in them so much that one is exactly as it was 70 years ago. You know what restraints they had 70 years ago? NON

So here is a picture of the no restrainter. The ride with no hitty on the barrie.

But what I want to ask you is what you think.

Do you think its safe?

Would you ride?

Is this a good thing?

Yeah, Rollercoaster is a bit of a weak ride and it would be ruined if it had restraints. It also makes for extremely quick turnaround times without having the ride-ops check your restraints. I believe one person feel out and died on Rollercoaster some years back, but again a case of rider stupidity than ride safety

It's great, freedom of seating is nice...what more can I say!?

Like Edge said above, Rollercoaster really doesnt need any restraints.

I haven't ridden it myself but like people have said already, its obviously a weak ride with probably no negatives at all, because of obviously consequences [lol]. Honestly I think I'd prefer a ride with massive g's but with restraints, than a really crappy weak g'd ride with no restraints .... if you follow me

yeah i agree with that. I dont see the great thing about a ride having no restraints. It just means it isnt that thrilling.

All thoose who comment the ride has no negatives well no. This is what makes the ride special!

You really lift out of your seat and nothing stops you.

Yeah so maybe it is tame but this was one of my first fairly big rides. The first go on this was frightening on that turning drop behind Space Invader 2!

Erm...Hate to say but that guy is actually Robb! [Albeit from many a year ago [:)] ]

Anyway, back on topic. The ride certainly is not forceless, it has plenty of airtime has a few fairly wild drops/turns - especially after rain!

I even went and fouund a POV video of the coaster on this page here:

Well, anyone who said that they could never have a restraintless coaster in the U.S. is right. I'm sure there would be a bunch of lawsuits and other legal issues.
