Sounds great, not to mention that it could boost CC's site traffic!

It's okay, but it sounds really pointless. Just do it if it makes you feel better.

So, I came by this site the other day called RCT-Interviews. It's a blog-style site that is features a growing collection of interviews dealing with certain RCT[3] designers. I thought it'd be interesting to start something similar for NoLimits and gather some general thoughts with top designers (and others as well). It would be created using Blogspot or Blog.com, unless you can think of an other free blog site that is better (I'm wanting custom banners, etc. if possible). Even better could be a CoasterCrazy "sister-site", or even a webpage on CC.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this? Just look at RCT-Interviews to get a feel on what it'd be like.

Looks like it would be pretty cool. I know it was always helpful to me to read what other designers had to say in their construction topics and stuff, an actual interview format could give a lot of neat information for people looking for NL tips and techniques.

This sounds like an awesome idea. It will be informative for new designers, get CC more site traffic, and be fun for the experienced designers.

^lol I'm sure that's the only reason the last choice has 4 votes. [:p]

Well, it looks like the general consensus is for it, so tonight I'm going to create the blog at Blog.com. Later on, if it is successful, the site may become it's own domain/site/whatever or have it incorporated into CoasterCrazy if Oscar is all for it.

I'm going to try a schedule of posting a new interview each Friday. Tonight, after I set up the site, I'm going to PM the first member to be interviewed (if he is okay with it). I'm sure most of you know who he is, considering the fact that I'm sure he's one of the top designers that people want to know more about.

The site is now up and running. It took quite some time to get issues ironed out such as the header and background issue. I will post a link to it once the first post has been created and the site has officially kicked off.

Sounds like a good idea for new NLers to learn the trade from designers who have been at it for quite some time.

Alright everyone, NoLimits-Interviews is now online!

http://nliv.blog.com/

Let me know if there are any features or other concerns that you have with the site, or if you just plain enjoy it! I've put a good amount of work into getting this running as simple as it is, so I'm pretty happy and excited to see where this goes!

I like what you have done and all but would of prefered it somehow to be hosted here rather than being independent personally.

You always seem to look on the bad side prozach and seem to troll consatantly. Personally I would prefer if you have nothing half decent to say just keep out of it and say nothing.

Just accept the fact that there will always be people like me that will tell you what you may not want to hear. This topic was created to give opinions, so I gave mine as asked.

"Anyway, what are your thoughts on this?"

Some people around here already have big heads, because they take away hours of their lives to design imaginary roller coasters on computers. People who make 'less cool' imaginary roller coasters are then made fun of. This will only make things worse.

Glad someone bothered to say that. I didn't feel like being accused as being a troll like I always do for looking at the situation realistically.

What exactly would be questions asked? I mean there are only so many eloquent bullshitting ways to say "rides in real life" inspire you to make stuff and other basic questions. I don't really see a point.

You're not allowed to be on this site often and comment on people choosing to spend their time doing something they enjoy, even if it happens to be a bit dorky haha. It's like the people on Xbox Live at 4am telling other people they play too much lol.

But yeah I hate when people slam those with opinions that are either negative or different from other opinions. Just because you don't like something, or you disagree, doesn't make you a jerk or a troll...if anything in my opinion those who put them down are more of a jerk, though I'm sure they don't mean to come off that way.

But anyways, hope you all enjoy what I had to say. I look forward to reading and learning something about whoever comes next.

Yeah, I was certain that a few people would think it's stupid. But oh well, because they can just not go to the site, and I also enjoy doing it. I think it's interesting to hear what other top designers say.

And yes, GavG I did ask for opinions (and I gave a vote slot for the against), so while some may troll, it's all fair and I don't care. Besides, I pretty much trolled with the last vote so they can troll if they want. It's the fun of this site.

It's a mix of me picking them out and you picking them out. You can submit suggestions for interviews.

I haven't fully decided who to do next, but I do have time. I may also space out certain interviews that lots of people want to read so that all the "good stuff" doesn't clump to the site's opening dates.
