You're not allowed to be on this site often and comment on people choosing to spend their time doing something they enjoy, even if it happens to be a bit dorky haha. It's like the people on Xbox Live at 4am telling other people they play too much lol.

I'm at work. If I were at home I would not be on here. There is also a difference between being updated on something you enjoy doing (riding roller coasters) and thinking you're someone special because you design something completely insiginificant to the outside world.

Again, my opinion was requested. If you don't like it, don't ask for it. It's like people who post pictures of their terribly modified ricer cars on car forums I go on and then they ask for opinions of what everyone thinks of their ride. Then when people say they don't like their car they get pissed off.

You don't like my opinion? So what. Grow up. Do what you want to do, but don't expect everyone to be on board.

Chill out dude. I was kidding, and I was on your side about the opinion thing. I thought that was all pretty clear. Nobody's put you down for your opinion since you last posted.

But anyways, I think it's kind of closed minded to say that people think they're special because they do something that's insignificant to others. Who said they're any more special than anyone else? What about all the people who spend hours and hours doing artwork or building model cars or anything that requires some skill...are they to be looked down upon because they take pride in what they do? Just because it's not relevant to the majority of society doesn't mean there's something wrong with doing it. Plus this is one of the few places where being a good virtual roller coaster designer IS relevant, so why kill anyone's fun?

Well aren't you cool stuff. I wish I could be as cool as you.

So you should care? Why complain? I mean, there are some video game nerds out there, but I don't take the time to complain about how their boasting of "beating X level in X time" is stupid. I just don't give two shits.

I don't think you really need to give two shits either. If you think NoLimits is stupid, then who cares? Go do the "other things" you do at home.

Also, it's like you assume that we are all nerds because we do this. And, even if we were, who cares?

At first, I thought you had a valid opinion. Now it's just kinda stupid. Oh well.

-

I think it's stupid that we're arguing over a NoLimits interviewing site in general.

Thank you dcs221, I think that's all that needs to be said.

On the other hand, I have a little I'd like to add just for fun...

Prozach:

The reason many people believe you to be a troll is this: a common trolling tactic is to join a forum, insult the object of the forum's interests, and watch ensuing drama. However, since you do not insult roller coasters in general, only the idea of designing virtual coasters of any type, I am under the impression that you are either a troll trying to disguise himself by not trolling all the time, or not a troll, just a garden variety douchebag.

By the way, I'm guessing the people with the modded cars would not have been angry had you provided a well thought out, but negative critique, giving actual reasons for their dislike, as opposed to what you most likely actually said, given your personality: "lol this iz gay and so r u!!1!"

In short, nobody likes you, now either restrict your presence to the general theme park boards or go away entirely.

^I think he got the point since he didn't post back in this thread. Let's not keep this flame going. From now on, let's talk about the site, please.

Regarding Dcs221's comment about NL being semi-useful if you think REALLY hard:

Pretty sure I finished making little polygons for something important about 10 times as fast as everyone else (bezier based but with straight segments)

It is a glorified stripped down autocad.

I have no clue what you're trying to say. I can't even tell if you agree or disagree with what I said, or you're just adding a comment.

I personally wouldn't read it - no matter how much I love a track, I don't really feel the need to know more about the person who designed it.

It's not as if they're a multi-platinum selling music star, that's a bit different.

I think the issue is, some of you are putting people up on a pedestal because some people are really good at designing rides while others not so much.

I think there would be some interesting conversation between the good designers. Lets be honest, its the good designers that keep delivering content to keep the community going, so in a sense we do owe them something.

^I plan on featuring some lesser-known designers as well. It's a "general" interview archive of designers, but I'm just starting with the most popular ones first. What I want to achieve with all of this is just see what everybody thinks about NoLimits. What they consider good, and a little about themselves. It's not just a pedestal for the good designers, it's going to hopefully end up being a pedestal for all designers.

[UPDATE]
A113, whose interview was due this Friday (fun fun fun fun) ran into some bad computer keyboard problems again. [:P] He was not able to complete it as of yet, and when he does I'll have it posted as soon as possible.

There are a few "big" name people. Jakizle and DCs221 are just two of the more common people around here. Most of the stuff they churn out is really good considering the amount of time they put into them.

One of our good lesser-known members is cool5. While his posts are almost irrelevant to anything, we must admit that his "Jet" coasters are very well made.

Id rather read about someone more down to earth and closer to myself than a big name multi platinum selling star. Theyre just gonna spew a bunch of garbage anyways.

I'm the only one who knows pretty much everything about jet coasters from hours spent on RCDB.

I'm planning on cool5 after I do Real, after I do A113. After cool5 I'm planning on AyTrane (if he's around). After that I haven't cared to plan.

Don't worry though people, there are 52 weeks in a year. That's 52 interviews (unless your keyboard craps out on you).
