Sure we all love using NL, but for a lot there's just one or two things that bug the crap outta you! What are yours?

Personally, I find it a little annoying when you go to save a small section of roller coaster (like the beginning, just station and dropout) and it warns that the track is too short. So? If the editor lets me save it anyway why do I need that warning!? I understand that warning being shown when entering the Sim, though.

Throwing more information into the pile? It's supposed to be a fun little game. Also the processing power would be incredible considering the freedom you have. Large elements might cause an overload (IE a whole AHGed track)

Most of my complaints were solved with the built in track smoother and the 1.7 update which permits us to change the color of individual supports. My only suggestion now would be add more 3D objects to our object folder and make an entrance ramp to the auto-generated stations. Also it would be nice if we could blow the whistle and ring the bell on that new Mine Train they added in the 1.7 update.

those little twitched that get really annoying and almost impossible to fix and every time you mess with it you just make it a lot worse.
Go chuff yourself and have a nice day! :D

The wooden wide supports on terrain bug is the main grip for me. Seems like this one should have been fixed by now.

The thing you need for G's are:
1. speed
2. radius
3. track direction

elementary and FVD use the same kind of formula (altough the execution is different) but why can't NL show us a graph of the G's, just like it shows a height graph

yeah that would be awesome, i would also like proper steam rather than having to use about 50 glass panels for a tunnel

That would be just as stupid as importing from RCT1.

You can turn the warnings off...

i would like to atleast see a dive coaster type on the game in the next installment. Also if at all possible to make it cooler, have more in depth control panel.

The business of not being able to see G-forces in the editor is my major gripe. I hate having to shape an element, connect the track, load the sim, check the G's, go back to the editor, unconnect the track, reshape the element, repeat over and over. It would be SOOOOOOOOOOO much easier to just highlight a section and get a little pop up panel that shows the maximum G-forces and fix it right there.

The other gripe I have is the handling of underground tunnels. It's nice to have a tunnel generator, but when you put them underground, you see the terrain slam into you as you enter.
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.

I would like the supports and track to have the full circle so you could see if there are any tunnel hits.

Selecting a lot of stuff at once sometimes gets pretty annoying. (say, you want to color a set of supports and leave the others untouched) Overall, working with supports is quite annoying, being unable to duplicate nodes, attach a node to slide on a beam, etc. Obviously, there's also the lack of copy-paste.

Graphically, there's still the flat trees, stations, and catwalks. Also, the support beam connections are horrible. (unless you take the time to ensure every damn beam has it's own 2 nodes and connect all of them in that manner)

When I select a beam (in the editor), multiple beams turn white. Has anyone else got this problem? Furthermore I agree with ^ about the copy-paste thing.

I hate having to shape an element, connect the track, load the sim, check the G's, go back to the editor, unconnect the track, reshape the element, repeat over and over.

You don't have to connect and unconnect the track, you can change the type to shuttle for when it's in progress[:D]

i wish you could highlight more than one transport/brake/lift/etc segment and edit the settings, rather than having to do each one.
Or if i highlight any of these segments, it would be good if you could change the settings they have in common.
ie, i highlight a brake and a station; i should be able to edit the transport settings and brake. Or if i highlight a brake and a transport, i should be able to do just the transport.

I also hate it when i move a free node and a footer, and by doing so it screws up the hight of the free node, it doesnt do it in any particular manner either.

And i hate how tracknodes are so stiff when moving and are so hard to place. I dont see why we can place them in 3D mode either, or why they cant be dragged through vertex's.

i hate having only 5 view points, left, rght, front, back, and birds-eye... this makes it exceedingly diffucult to make things like a diagnal hill or lift...

If they were to build g-reading into the editor you'd either have to have a button that would shoot out a graph, which means you'd have to wait anyway, or you'd have to have some extreme processing power if you wanted real-time displays as you edited track.

However, if you had the ability to do real-time display, you could also include a feature that told you when a ride's track when to high.

The only thing I think I'd really want is the ability to change between editing the track and editing the actual heartline. That way, let's say you finished a track in one track style and decided you wanted it in another, you could choose to keep the heartline and then change the style and the track changes in accordance to fit the heartline with the same general shape.

Oh, and minor, I think it'd be nice to have a snapped view available for flyers more similar to that of an invert.

^ You could do that. You have to play with the Construction Kit.

Is it too much to ask to get a bigger editor? seems to me that that would be the easiest thing in the world to program, but we still haven't gotten it. I'm sick of having to turn, turn, turn when I want to go out-and-back.
