no-one knows for sure about any updates, most likely the next 'update' will be NL2, but for now, we'll just have to wait.

Of course, I am wondering how many tracks postalsam2 has created and posted for us to marvel at that he has become such an expert already that he needs an update because he is bored of the designs out now ...

Let's see, shall we?

http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_exchang ... bmit1.y=16

One ... one NL design rated by, well, another non-accomplished NL designer. Puh-lease! With the pumping, technical issues, and lack of thrill this has it is barely a 5, consider yourself given a gift with that 7-something rate you have.

Bit of advice: Master what you got first before asking for more postalsam2. [lol]

[stupid] Why must I educate you on everything man? Read his post:

Obviously, he is bored with what he has, not too mention the fact that he has gotten 3 updates for free and wants more. His design method is well, poor, and why complain about wanting a new update when it is obvious he has not really mastered what he has? He is whining about what "he" wants to have -- when is "he" going to get something else, when he barely uses or knows how to use what he already has.

To me, he sounds like one of any one of millions of kids being raised today (including yourself) whose whole theme of life is "give me what I want" rather than actually going out and earning something. This is the same principle. "Give me something new because I am bored."

Shut up already and be grateful for what you have.

the fact that he isn't uploading his coasters doesn't mean he doesn't build them...

and i don't care weather there's gonna be a new update, i've liked NL since i got v1.1 for me, that was ok.

and about me being a 'gimme what i wan't' type, that's not true. i'm just a normal kid of almost 17 who has a job, goes to school, and is happy with the things he has....

you should talk [lol]

I kind of agree, but I disagree at the same time with your argument here. People can get pretty ingrateful and impatient with things, but it does help people to get better when what they're using is a bit newer or more realistic. I, in particular, get very motivated to make a coaster (usually end up makin it better than I normally do) when I have something fresh to work with.

Once NL is to the point where modification or upgrading is no longer needed (which is most likely not achievable), Ole will hopefully make an annoucement of a discontinuation of work on NL. Thats probably the point where everyone realizes there won't be another update and stops anticipating one.

I gotta say, however, that I am reallllly lookin forward to another update because even with how real it is now, it doesn't quite get us there. We also need a somewhat dramatic improvement on graphics. I have a pretty fast computer and what other games would lag at, NL lags at about half of that.

You are owed NOTHING. Understand? No one is. How many games go without any updates at all? Quite a few. How many games have the creators playing right along with us and seeing our requests? Not many.

This attitude of "we deserve some kind of update!" is childish. If you dont like what you have, dont play it. Its pretty simple.

This is not directed at ANYONE in particular but at everyone as a whole. No where does it say that they will update on any regular basis. Remember, they all have regular lives and they dont live solely to update the precious game.

Does this mean I'm getting a lump of coal for christmas?[:(]

[lol] Who knows, maybe we'll get a small update as a christmas preasent, but I doubt it after the way we acted last year..... Hmm yes its been almost a year since our last update, and several months since we've seen a site update.[lol] But I'm sure they're gradually working on it, and we'll see flyers and 4D's (even though no one will use the 4D design) some day.

Nicely said Real -- nicely said. Thank you for adding in with some sort of sanity, hopefully enough of us has have voiced in on this to quell this inquiry for a day or so.

And by the way: "owned" = "owed"
