Intimidator 305 gets a trim brake on the drop!
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

It sounds like they're messing around with a lot of brake configurations right now, the kind of stuff they didn't get to do before opening the ride since they opened it so early. Sure it sucks, but it's a business, and if they have to make the ride a little less intense so that it's more fun for the average person and they aren't doing crazy maintenance on the trains daily then it's probably a good decision on the park's end. Also I think adding the brake on the first drop meant they took off the ones halfway through the ride which made the last hills and turn even faster than before.

Not to mention that they are experimenting and any of these brakes could be on or off of the ride again in another week.

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

These modifications make total sense. This ride has to be ride-able and re-ride-able for all people.

Yes, but apparently you get nothing but floater over the 2nd hill now...

I think I said this on here when the ride opened too, but to me this thing is all about those quick transitions between turns. I love ejector airtime too, but if they have to make that hill have floater so that they don't risk having someone pass out, then that's cool too, those turns will be basically unaffected by this.

That's no trim, it's a freaking BRAKE RUN! Holy crap, that thing's ridiculous!

Those turns are not unaffected. I watched an offride of some of the transitions in the middle of the ride, and especially that first one after the big hill looks like it drags through. Lame.

... oh dear. There were a small but lucky group of people that got to ride it before they butchered it. They will forever be able to say "I rode I305, when it was good!" [lol]

Ether way its still going to tear up the trains. If they are smart they will remove another 1/3 of them and let it be.

They should trim the whole thing, the second hill as well imo... [:D]

Nice move, retards. Sure sounds like they ruined it.

Oh well, now I can truly say that my new Giga Coaster design is better than any of the real ones.

Thank you, I really appreciate you telling me this, as it concerns everyone a lot!

Anyway, I think they won't be keeping all of the trims, but will rather be experimenting with them for a while and only later settle on an appropriate amount...
Pretty much what they did with iSpeed...

You guys are idiots, Im sorry...the reason they trimmed the drop is because the ride is DESTROYING wheels. That's why they haven't been able to run 2 trains because one is always getting its wheel's replaced. The trim doesn't really solve blackouts either, it just prolongs them. It's whatever...still a super good looking ride.

I don't care how many wheels it destroys. Just make everyone pay an extra dollar for admission and that should make up for it.

Well if its destroying wheels then that sounds like a defect that should be addressed by the wheel manufacture. Clearly something has been overlooked.

It certainly is a hell of a lot cheaper to reformulate wheels then to install mags.

Notice how with the trims, the ride is still exactly as fast as on openingsday. Haters are hating for nothing.

Aw man, I'm pretty sure I probably go to Kings Dominion more than anyone else on this forum and probably the most dissapointed. Blacking out one one coaster is fine and it does no damage. If the entire ride is slowed down, thats incredibly lame. The awesome aspects of this ride was the huge floater on the first drop, blacking out on the big turn, big air on the 2nd hill, and the 3 super duper intense turns. If every single aspect of this ride is affected by the brake, this is gonna suck. Well, at least from now on when we talk to people about this ride and they say it was great, I can say it used to be even better.
