I just started messing around with the OC last night, and I'm safe to say I can make a halfway decent looking rock... Impressive eh? Anyways, when put my rock in the editor in NL, the texture doesn't appear at all. I must be making some mistake in the OC itself to cause this, because I did move the "objecttextures" folder into the object folder (I was instructed to do so while searching for help last night)

So am I maybe just putting the texture on wrong? or is there some other issue I don't know about?

Help would be great.

you might need the ObjCache Folder as well. I'm not sure. And if you made another folder with your rock in it inside the objects folder, you need to have the rock texture file in there too, not just in the object folder.

When exporting an object to 3ds the OC usually complains about the texture?????????s name length. Make sure you select no as the prompt comes up.

Dj, that still didn't work. Here is what i did step by step, directly after download. 1. extracted the files, and copied and pasted both "objecttextures" and "object cache" into the objects folder. NOT the objecttextures folder. Next, i created my rock, added the texture, and (without saving {as i was told it doesn't matter}) exported the rock. 3rd, i entered the editor, inserted my textured rock, and viewed the result. Much to my dismay, no texture appeared. Just a dull, lame white polygon sitting on a hill...
