As they have not done it to my knowledge, it would be considered a unique element, but because they have done barrel rolls and 0g rolls, I would watch of where you put it and how long it is. Just my tid bit, and I bet Blase and/or Meta will probably say something as well.

When I was reading the rules I was like: "2 unique elements? Ha! No RMC hasn't done any coaster without any inversions. (Yes, even NTG would have an inversion according to these rules.) So my unique element would be having no inversion! "
And then I read further and saw the rule: "Minimum one inversion" #fckit
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

Quoted from the CC Skype group from Meta.

Here are a few hints regarding supports for the contest--

"You only have to use those supports, there's nothing in the rules about modification ;D
Also if you manage to make the truss structure more closely resemble nmr, you'll get extra points.

My advice would be to move the footers and free nodes directly below them to suit your needs, as each structure is only 4 footers/free nodes, it should be easy I built those using a bunch of offsets. I'd try to space the pasted structures just about equally apart and connect them with I/H beams that are offset identical to the analogous existing ones to create a smoother curve around your turnaround."

To my knowledge, yes, but barely.

Technically yes its unique. just remember we are looking for things that are completely "outside the box". Coasters that have more of unique elements are likely to get judged higher in that category.

So far I think everyone does, still haven't seen what anyone's done with the second half and that's where it's going to get interesting.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Can't wait to see more pics, but I know that you guys are working hard, so keep it up and I know that the rides will be very exiting to judge.

Not sure RMC has featured this but if someone could tell me if it is unique then that would be great :?:

Nope its not considered unique. Twisted Colossus has a very similar section on its track.

A few questions due to things I've encountered with my design:

1. How will G-Forces be measured? I've noticed a few points in my ride where the comb says they are within the official requirements but a specific car in the train (typically the back) reads a bit higher than the acceptable range.

2. Will round or square tunnels be used to test for clearance?

3. I've got 4 potential unique elements on my coaster and I'd like to make sure at least two would be accepted as unique elements. Do any of the following not qualify as a unique element?
Attachments
Unique Element 1.png
Triple Down. I know RMC has done double downs and Lightning Rod has a quadruple down, but I do not believe any of their rides has done a triple.
Unique Element 2.png
Corkscrew Turn. Basically a half corkscrew into a descending barrel roll. Main concern here is whether it is too close to the Corked Roll on Storm Chaser.
Unique Element 3.png
Hanging Curve. This is a hybrid of an overbank turn and a zero-G stall. While going around the turn, the track rolls 210 degrees, stays at that angle briefly, then rolls back. This is a slower maneuver designed for hang-time.
Unique Element 4.png
Serpentine. Several quick zig-zag curves (while possibly difficult to see they extend all the way back to the overbank). This is the one I'm most unsure about as Iron Rattler does something like this.
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110
Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash
Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305
