world's first vertical drop flyer people! This isn't an upcoming ride due to the constrictions NL poses, but it is possible, i have many rides jumbling around in my head, most involving pitch darkness and stories which build up to sudden drops, but this one i thought would actually be possible, it involves basic vertical drop cars, but with a difference, utilizing the system used on flyers, the car would roll head first out of the station, with people thinking that they were going to go forwards, a couple helixes in the dark before slamming into the brakes and a backwards lift, with you hanging on for dear life while you rest on your restraint gripping white knuckled hoping you don't fall out, as you round the corner to the vertical drop which you can't see at this moment, your chairs are poised ready to lean back, and as the car hits a certain point on the track, the seats will fold back as you start to descend down a steep incline, giving the feeling that your seats are only tipping back, it is only when they stop and faint lights flick on that you will realise you are upside down, facing a tunnel that descends into darkness, ready t be dropped, before you have time to scream you will be plunged 150ft into darkness, as you shut your eyes for comfort the drop is over, and you are ascending a cobra roll, which will leave you face down at the top, before flipping you face up by the time you get to the other half loop, dissorientating you before you are again plunged into darkness and a trim, through certain elements before a final breke run into another station. there is alot of story that goes with this, theming and such but i am just wondering if any of you like this idea of the upsidedown vertical drop.
P.S the story is to do with an artificial wormhole, which you are about to enter, there is an error, explosion, the track tips up behind you and you are sent through the facility, sure, not as cool as actually going through the wormhole but i wanted to it to have a lab/industrial feel, with darkness and flashing lights etc.
I did also have some ideas originally with a launch, made to look like it broke, but brakes would be too unpredictable in that case, but in this case, the car being launched backwards actually sounds even better, but of course, not so many Gs.
tell me whatz ye think, thanks!
