I noticed the same thing Real. When I first watched the video, I told Jim on aim, "Holy crap, Patriot slams right into the breaks." I was suprised alot by this. The ride does not look as bad as some people first thought. The 0g does like quite thrilling, but the helix looked a little slow. Could be even faster with people aboard. We'll just have to wait and see.

I've seen that video on Keith's website ( http://www.3dvip.com ) . All I've really gotten from that video is that he has gotten a ton better at shaping his tracks.

Loop still looks like it will be any other B&M loop (which is by no means bad) but I think what really caught my attention is the 0 g roll and the immel man. It will definately flow very well. Which will have its advantages as well as disadvantages.

Theres no disadvantage to a Zero G roll that actually is a Zero G Roll.

However, I thought the Immelman looked too slow while everything after the helix seemed quite fast. Time will tell. Depends what lift speed they were using and of course, whether that was weighted or not adds a little momentum.

Also if you want a forcefull loop, go ride Nemesis! We are talking serious gs the whole way round, no just entrance and exit, the whole damn loop feels like you are going to be flung out of your seat

Thats cos of the weirdo shape it is!!!! [:p][:)]

I think Patriot does look good, it doesnt look all that special to me, but i would still love to ride it. I do like the look of the Zero G, you might actually float a bit on that i reckon :D Should be a good one. And i like the look of the immelman and helix after it. [:)]

Wonder what the sign will look like. Yeah, I admit it! I'm a SIGN WH*RE!

Anyway, the ride as a whole looks like a long, strung-out version of Talon, but with more speed. Been there, done that...
But that Zero-G...SCWIIIIIIIIIING!!!

^^Pretty much every B&M is a "been there done that" experience. Mixes of quick rotations, inversions, moments of weightlessness and powerful G's.

What does that guy who owns Virtual Imiage Productions use to make his animations? My Dad has been looking to get me a program that can do that stuff!

He is an excellent animator!

Autodesk 3D Studio Max - Retails for around $3,495

I hope your dad has incredibly deep pockets. It would be far more beneficial for you to look up a school that supports 3ds modeling and learn it there first before jumping into a $3500 debt.

Screamo, just goto your schools computer department and ask if they have access to getting the student discount.

Patriot recently had a successful media day allowing some enthusiasts to get a sneak peak at Worlds Of Fun's newest coaster.
Patriot opens to the public tomorrow (April 8th) when Worlds of Fun opens its doors for the 2006 season.

Awesomeness. They have alot nice control panel than Raptors.

Screamo, you don't need to have the absolute newest version of Max to do what Kieth does with the animations. Most of the newer versions added stuff that doesn't even effect how to make em. Unless you wanted to simulate via physics how the coaster works or place hair that moves realistically on a rider you don't need anything newer than version 6. You can get older version of it for much cheaper. If you want the newest version try for a student discount.

This coaster reminds me so much of Top Gun at Pc(My home park) I need to go ride this thing.
