"And soccer for 5 Mins they kick the ball back and fourth, then a breakaway oh man he sucks and it goes 5 foot over the net darn. [repeat]"

You see, I know why you don't like "Soccer" because you have seen American Soccer, you've probably never watch a game of Football in your life ... maybe you have I don't know, but if you were to watch an English game of "Soccer" you would find it exciting, I'm sure of it. I have watched games from the MLS and they are SO boring, its just the same thing over and over again like you said ... but the English game is absolutely nohting like that. None stop and never the same, ahwell, like I said, I'm never going to be able to talk you into changing your mind about anything like this ... I'm just giving you the opinion of the rest of the world, on your opinions.

Err, gouldy, I love the World Cup, and watch any good [I'll use soccer to avoid confusion] soccer games that involve any of the European leagues when they are occasionally shown over here, and I do enjoy them a lot. BUT, you have to see how one could think it would be boring...admittedly, they do go back and forth without scoring a lot, and there can be times without much action. And I don't know how you can say American football players are weak, because soccer players do not take the sort of punishment on their bodies that American football players take. I just seem to see a lot of flopping by those soccer gods you speak so highly of...Again, I enjoy soccer, and it does involve a lot of stamina and endurance, but football is also great to watch...very explosive and exciting, and much more eventful than soccer.

LOL!!!!! [lol] sorry, I think I just pissed actually everywhere. btw, The World Cup is NOT football, it is infact, bollocks [:)] if that is what you are basing your opinion of "soccer" on, then no wonder you don't like it. I would challenge the most ardent "soccer" fans here in England not to be bored watching the World cup, the football played there is honeslty, sub par to say the least, nothing actually happens and unless Brazil or England or Scotland are playing, there is also no atmosphere either, which is half the reason the English game is so good. The reason why the rest of world apart from America is in love with this game is because so much is infact happening and yet so many different types of people can play it, whereas, you need a lot fo kit to play most other sports, apart from rugby, which IMO is crap but still far better than American Football becauyse they're not big fat pussies in bullet proof equipment, [lol] girls. The reply to that will be "well yeah, but soccer players go down to the floor really easily even if they are just slightly touched bla bla bla", ok, well true, but firstly, they're called Italians and we hate them too [lol] secondly, if you have ever been running, if you get the slightest touch on your foot/ankle/leg, then it is very hard to stay on your feet if you are running full tilt. BUT, that type of "soccer" player, is, are and will always be cheating bastards and it is very much frowned upon in the English game and players that do it get booed and have things thrown at them. The thing with "soccer" is, here in England especially, it's the passion involved, when there is a goal scored, people are jumping up and down cheering for minutes, in American football, when I've seen it, when the one team gets a touch down or whatever, the crowd like just shout Yay, and then start clapping for like 20 seconds then that's it ... yes, very passionate. You can see it in the players here aswell, in local derby's especially (something I think you'd be hard pushed to find in America) The players are flying into each other with two footed tackles and everything everywhere, trying to actually cause physical harm to each other, even though it's a non contact sport. I just think that "soccer" appeals to so many more people on so many more levels, hence why the whole world (apart from you lot) are in love with the game and I don't think that you can argue with that. Tournaments like the world cup, although the football is awful, hundreds of countries enter that competition, nothing else brings countries together like it.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnyway..... The patriots are the best because I say they are [:)]

[lol] I wondered why it had been brought back up aswell, but I thought I'd use the opportunity to have a crack as American Football, because as someone who loves sport, I feel it is my duty [:)][lol]

American Football beats soccer in my opinion any day. Football has much more strategy involved and it's a lot of fun watching big plays break loose. Soccer is just repetative kicking of a ball between a bunch of people who never score.
