LW is kinda like a Kazaa, like everyone has said, but I feel like repeating it for no apparent reason, that it's for downloading music, games, etc. LW has no spyware and I've not had any problems it yet

It also tells you if a song is corrupt whilst downloading, so you dont have to listen to 10 seconds of the song, followed by scratching

I have used LimeWire for a couple years, but it stopped working recently so I downloaded Soulseek, and its a lot better. If your into mainstream music, LimeWire will be fine, but since mostly everything I listen to is European metal I had a hard time finding a lot of the albums I wanted on LimeWire. I have not yet had a problem finding music since I started using Soulseek.

I also like BitTorrent, but theres not many albums available to download through it.

Limewire doesn't like ATI drivers, so if you happen to have an ATI card and you happen to force anti-aliasing, Java gets PMS and it doesn't work.

I discovered that when I got an ATI video card.

As for it wrecking your computer, learn how to properly operate a computer and you won't have any problems.
