Ya I was in that blackout to and I actually found it awesome because everyone on my street had a party all night and everyone was having fires in there backyard
I remember when the big eastern power outage occured...I was sitting in this nice seafood place on the cooper river watching the news in SC they had the best crablegs...

LA, actually most of California for that matter, has been experiencing rolling blackouts for years -- so in short, this is not really front page news. If anything, it takes some of the focus off of the hurricane after-effects -- sort of serving as a brief intermission if you need a catch-phrase for it.

Guitarplayer, *sigh* ... you should not believe everything you hear on TV.
I didn't believe it, it sounded like something they would say to scare people that do believe everything on tv. It doesn't even make sense, like I said before.
piff, it made traffic easy for me, most of the streets I roll through are empty so I juust rolled on through the lights and no it was not a rolling blackout, rolling blackouts are planned and affect a specific area not sections this big [:)]
