hyyyper, I dont know where you come up with these concepts but they are a bit out there.

Its easy to define what a wooden coaster is and what a steel coaster is.

Steel - A coaster that runs on a steel tubular track. Invented by Walt Disney Company. Usually has trains that has a polymer based coating on the wheels though not always.(Another example could be an I beam style track)

Wood - A coaster that runs on layered laminated peices of wood and has steel plating used as the running plane. Usually the wood is layered to 8 or more boards. Trains use a bare steel wheel.

You go ahead and find coasters that dont fit that other than that and we will work to a solution but I bet its 95% true on both sides.

Id also like to add that steel supports were used on wooden coasters long before CCI really made it more mainstream.

list of woodies know using steel supports:

Cheetah
Comet
Comet
Cyclone
Great White
Hades
Hochbahn
Lightning
Mega Zeph
New Mexico Rattler
Silver Comet
Steel Stella
Villain
Voyage
Wildcat
Wildcat
Twisted Twins
J2
Avalanche
Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain

Hefty list. Some of those are SBNO (like Mega Zpeh) and others have since been closed. But majority of them are either from S&S (well, 2 of them) or CCI/GG.
