Recreations are pretty hard to do. Why not just build a fantasy coaster. Think of a layout and build it [:)]
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

I'd advise to do one that you've ridden in real life, you can always recreate things better if you've got first-hand experience.

recreating from a local park also comes in handy, you can view every details by yourself and take pictures of everything you need and not rely on pics made my others

^ You'll also know intemently how the thing rides, making it easier to guage the quality of your recreation.

But unless you enjoy such things, try to avoid rides with zillions of custom supports. I thought I'd cut my recreation teeth with a fairly small but historically significant recreation, a Jet Star III (Jumbo Jet). I didn't fully realize the support work this thing needs. I still open up the project and add a few supports now and then, and someday it'll be finished [sillyme]

Thanks GRIM, it's still getting worked on like I said. It's up to 122 support objects right now (with up to 4 track connectors per).

Where'd you get the title Flying Toaster? I ask because I worked for Berkeley Systems for a number of years, we made the Flying Toaster screen saver...
