But you are comparing Apples to Oranges. The way they design their Mega coasters is nothing like what they do with their other styles. Personally I would feel that a mega coaster that hauls too much butt, reguardless of airtime and G's, wouldnt be optimal for the experience. Thats just me though, I like a balance of intensity and pacing. For me, if its all thrown at me too fast to take in, whats it worth?
Kumba is borderline what Im talking about. Its ridiculous in pacing. So much so, the zero g has no zero g and the dive loop has no floater either. It just pounds you with vertical forces and all mashes into one blur. I wish it was slowed down enough to get a wider range of forces to provide a more unique experience. Its still a GREAT ride though.
I see, this is where we are disagreeing. I love rides to be relentless in pace, and that often means alot of vertical G forces. I love a ride that goes so fast i dont know whats happening, where everything mashes together. But i suppose, i have a very low coaster count, and havent experienced any really great coasters apart from them at Alton and a few others. I havent experienced a mega coaster yet, so i will probably change my view on B&M when i get to them. I do love B&M, they are my favourite steel coaster company, dont get me wrong, its just i seem to get the impression that their rides arent quite as crazy as they used to be. But this is only an impression, i have nothing but other peoples views to make me believe this so i am most probably wrong.
My perfect coaster is one that pulls huge vertical forces, but has huge amounts of airtime aswell, hence i like rita so much. She pulls 4.7g and then -0.7 airtime.
