After a really really really long time of not using NL for anything but riding cool rides, I'm actually making something. So since the begining of September I've been working on and off on a recreation of sorts of Raptor. I've discovered that many of the online recreations have the pacing way off on the ride, which is strange becuase most of the track is pretty accurate. So I'm taking a different approach. Pacing is my #1 goal for this ride. And while I have just completed the track framework, I'm putting alot of effort to make it feel real. I have also taken a little creative touch to the ride. Of the many times I went to CP this summer and who knows how many times I rode Raptor, I actually sat down and wondered what could make the ride that much cooler. I decided that making the first drop a twisting dive would be really awesome. The beauty of this element is that if I want to take it out, it doesn't really change anything becuase it follows the exact same profile as the real drop.
There is still alot of work left, I somehow managed to make the track 500 ft short. Supports, textures, and 3ds havn't even really been put on the drawing board yet. They will all get done, when they are done.
EDIT: 11/15
Added 2 screenshots of the ride. I have made a version of the ride which contains the normal drop. Smoothing out the ride is a bitch and has really been something that I'm not that great at, so progress is very slow. I havnt a clue on how to use the AHG so its all hand done. The g's are also cuasing a few problems. Feedback is usefull.
