That SM release date was just a joke from me in a different topic. There hasn't even been a release date out from SM.

But now on to NL:
Better don't watch it too many times. Ol????????? will announce when there is a new update. Also, creating new updates is more work then you think. I guess that there is another big update in planning for NL. Probably NL1.6. Just have patience, The NL people are human too. They need to rest also sometimes between updates...

I thought it'd be NL2, but I'm most concerned about graphics fixing. (the stations, catwalks, and trees, not everyone wants to model those items themselves nor does everyone have the ability to)

For SM2, I believe it's about 65% done, it started sometime earlier this year, so yes, it is definately going beyond the holidays but I don't mind as long as it's good. [:)] (which I'm sure it'll be) After SM2, NL will be the only one using outdated openGL 1.5 graphics, but if they upgrade the rendering engine once again, it should be to OpenGL 2.0 instead of DX9 since DX9 takes considerably longer to load.

You might like this then, whilst I browsing the net for coaster pictures one night I came across a site that was demonstrating a new coaster style, what was interesting is that the pictures seem to have been created in NoLimits.

I don't know if they are fake or not, but you can see the pictures at my web site here.

http://www.steve-daggers.co.uk/themepar ... .php?t=196

If you don't see the pictures then you will need to setup an account (free) I can't remember if guests can look at picture attachments.

The things that make me think it's NoLimits are the supports and the Big Wheel in the middle picture and the station in the bottom picture, the supports look like the standard ones that come with Nolimits and the station looks like the one that comes as standard except for the raised floor under the track. The big wheel I think came with the CS Park Pack.

On my site I have just posted a picture of a NoLimits standard station for comparison.

Don't forget though we have seen fake pictures showing coasters in NoLimits that did not exist (spinning coaster style), or is this another pre-release manufacturers demo exclusive, just like Verkoma Motorbike and Euro Fighter releases.

Check it out and see.

NL has obviously been expanding to the point where it started as a commerical product for fans, and is now becoming a valuable tool for professional visualization. They have added a few minor updates that implement a new coaster design for advailability. The question is, do we really need new coaster types? Ever since the wooden coaster update they have been working on the small features that people wanted. Some of the track types look way outdated vs some of the newer ones. I'd prefer them to be working on making the game engine better than making new coaster types. Its not like there are so few tracks that people arn't making them anymore.

It would be nice if they added more detail and features to the B&M track styles. Such things like adjustable spine size and groups of wheels instead of having them spaced by twos every space between the breaks.

Yup, can't wait for SM2, NL will have alot of work to do to catch up afterward. For now, I hope they fix the trees, stations and catwalks as modeling them is a pain. (and if you don't they look like bs. The detail balancing is just horrible with those 3 items and the new cars. And if they didn't make the cars so heavily detailed, I could use reflections on water rather than having it look like the crap it is)

Oh well, I'll just wait for SM2.

Lyle, your from the USA; talk like it.

I believe we will have one more update until NL2. Hopefully it has flyers and the fixed catwalks.

i hope IF they decide to put guests in the game, they are optional. that or be able to put like a few peeps here and there. a whole train would cut FPS and be a tad too distracting. personally i would like to see new tracks such as arrow suspended and dive machine. also, the looping roller coaster trains just look square and plain. maybe have options to customize the station like choose colors and different types of material (steel, stucco, wood) hopefully an update is coming soon...

I'm guessing you guys didnt know that The Voyage was simulated in a new version of NL. It was stated by one of their media people awhile back. You can tell its new becuase the track looks better and there are some birds flying.

^It'll probably be a while before regular people like us have access to the next version of NL. We just gotta sit and wait.

Upgrading the graphics is far more important than new rides. Besides they probably have to tweek the engine anyway to help the pyhsics out so that Swinging Aarows would be possible.

If anything is needed for NL, it's the physics. The physics suck, it is totally so fake, It pisses me off sometimes when I make a coaster that would run perfect in real life, and in NL it dosen't even make it to the brakes. They also need to put spinning wild mouse and arrow suspended coaster in the game. i don't care about flyers. I think they should also have upgraded stations and all that stuff. Oh, and a larger building template.

Suspended Arrows would probably kill my framerate.
