Regarding bracing:

If you take a look at the video for Liseberg, Sweden at www.themeparkreview.com/videos you will can see how Balder is laterally braced. Some of the turns are just insane (kinda like where I got the idea for some of my turns that folks told me were impossible to have); but you can sort of see the bracing and how they are supported. You can auto-support to do most of the work if you want, but there will be some lateral (custom) bracing needed to truly finish things off.

Those videos at Liseberg are some of the best POV's I've ever seen. Balder looks to be exceptionally fun.

Talk to me Jim -- have I missed something? What is the "box dimension issue"?

^ I'm pretty sure he was talking about supporting. =P

NL does supporting on a 10*10*10 ratio. As far as l*w*h goes. On normal coasters I'm pretty sure its around 10*5*5. Makes it look completely different and way more realistic.

Oh ok, I follow ya man. I am not sure there is a way to accurately represent that, except of course to do node placement yourself but that alone will have you going blind in no time at all. The average person though, will not notice the difference -- especially with the "lazy" (to use a word loosely) kind of rates that most folks give. I realize the desire to be accurate, but without hand skill you may lose your mind on this one.

The sanity of hand supporting at a 10*5*5 rate could be insane.

^Hmmm. Yep you're right. I got a few headaches from doing Cobalts supports and those are really simple. I can't imagine what kind of toll several thousand hand placed nodes could take on someone. [xx(]

Well, on my project AzRail, its not as much as Voyage but then again Voyage has terraforming.

Its not a bother to me, I like placing it by hand. Node by node, beam by beam. Makes it look extremely well done.

Haha, I'm planning on being done by Oct. 31st.

I've been thinking, there isn't a recreation of Millennium Force out there that really does the ride any justice. It would be massive and take quite some time but I think thats the way to go? Do you all agree?

GCI won't work real well because of the supports. They tend to do the angled lateral bracing and the beams are very hard to line up correctly in NL.

A CCI/GG woodie or Millennium Force are the options now.

I vote Milli.

Milli=1
CCI/GG=0

Its GCI and the supporing would be pretty difficult.

We can still do it, but it will be twice as hard. Whatever you people want.
