i dont know, i use to play rct3 alot and now i play rct2 prolly cause you can do cooler stuff like, kill people, make rides that kill people, make the exit form a ride and let the peeps fall in the water and drown, killing them on a super fast coaster, killing them on a ride that has 2 trains that dosent make it and they crash killing more peeps and just about all of that killing and, killing them on go carts when they crash. RCT 2 is just a great game. If you like the idea of building theme parks, then you will like RCT 2.

Probably because RCT2 loads 10 times faster and runs 50 times smoother.

Rollercoaster tycoon is just an all around better game in my opinion. Rollercoaster tycoon 3 lags on most ppl's computers becasue it is to high quality. Also, it is a lot easier to build a park with scenery because of the use of the control button, that is one reason why I almost never play 3.

i have a good graphics card, well acceptable, and RCT3 lags so much, that i just got tired of dealing with it, if it gives me a headache just to play a game, or getting it started, then i just dont need it. i like RCT2 alot, i am currently making a park that wll be completed soon, but i think it is just an all around better game that is funner, and yeah...

Get the soaked exp, they've added in this feature, and damn good thing they did, the lack of it destroyed the original (non-soaked) RCT3.

Get the demo from www.rct3.com , and make sure you've got the comp for it.

I used to be completely obsessed with RCT2, but I could never get myself to do any screnery. It was just too complex.

Now with RCT3, since people can't easily create their own scenery packs, it's a lot less confusing. Also, RCT3 just comes with a lot less scenery, which makes it easier for artistly lacking people, like me.

Honestly the RCT games don't thrill me that much anymore. RCT 1 and its expansion packs had me hooked. I got RCT2 and thought it was mearly ok but hardly played it. Then I worked at a major park for the summer and the whole time I was just in the mood to play RCT, but I didn't have my computer. So I got home with RCT3 and Soaked! played it for a couple of weeks then stopped. If they somehow find a way to get rid of the grid system and made the custom design more of a cross between NL and the FIRST Disney Coaster game. (Its really really old, I think it came on several 5.25 floppys) I would probably get more interested.

I used to play RCT2 lots, then i heard about RCT3, thought it looked good, it does lack in certain areas, rct2 is great for theming, rct3 is great for making more intense rides.

Here's my story: like a lot of people here, I started off playing rct2 loads, and got rct3 as soon as it came out. I put up with it until the end of the game, when I just stopped and went back to rct2 simply because the coasters I think look better and more realistic. Soon after that, I found NL ([worship]), and have never really gone back to RCT since.

Yeah, I've never had problems with RCT2 on my PC. On the other hand RCT 3 doesn't even run on my pc.
