I am moving in with my sister tomorrow and I will be offline for a few days until I get settled in. It shouldn't be too long I hope; I have to keep up with all the cool coaster buzz![;)]

Thanks guys. [:)] Well, I have internet, but it's on my sister's pc for now. I shall have to buy a wireless card for my pc in order to get the dsl signal in my room; we can't have two dsl modems connected unless I get a separate line and that is way too expensive. The whole point of moving in with my sister is so we could both save money.

hey princess our connection here in house is send over 5 pc's inside the house. The internet connection through a router, that router splits up the whole connection to all other pc's. Maybe that might work for you too...
anyway, have fun on your new location with your sister [:)]

Princess -- get a router -- it splits the IP and you are all set. Be sure though, if you buy a "G" series router, you have a "G" series card. A "G" series router will work with other cards, but it is best to keep them on the same wave-length for best transmission of data.

5 machines here as well ... no biggie. [lol]

1- Mine (Linux boot)
2- Mine (WinXP - also now running as an FTP server)
3- Mine (Laptop - XP)
4- Wife's (WinXP)
5- Kids (WinXP)

Hmm, so do I need a wireless card as well? Or just the router? My knowledge of computers is limited; when it gets to things that are very techy I tend to not be as wise as I should be. How would I hook that up?

all you need is:
- Lan cables to connect to the router
- a router
- like tcon said, a G series card...
no wireless card needed then anymore. But correct me if i'm wrong. I ain't that big expert ether. I just know some small stuff [:D]

Well Princess, I guess you'd be saving on a little money (I suppose). Don't you spend most of your money on poster of Batista or The Rock? lol
