Capital's Game

So I don't know why I didn't post this earlier, but my family and I went to the Capital's game on saturday (and for those of you who don't know, its DC's Hockey team). It was planned as a surprise for my dad's birthday, and so we got to a restaurant, waited for a while, and before we were called, we told him and left.

It was probably one of the best hockey games I've seen in a long time. We beat Carolina 5-2, which is pretty awesome considering how they're Carolina. And it was either Ovechkin or Semin who had a hatrick, I can't remember, but either way they were the only 2 who scored. And in the 3rd period, almost 2 fights broke out, the last one was between a buncha different players? Yea that was pretty exciting. But besides the game itself, it was pretty cool too. With about a minute left, right after a big fight, everyone started throwin their hats onto the ice, and needless to say, some idiot on the level above us threw his down but only made it to my feet, so I walked away with a really good hat. It's from '74 and has the old logo on it any everything, pretty sweet (don't worry I washed it).

So yea, we had a pretty good time.

You beat Carolina because they don't have Rechi! (joking o' course)

I don't know about the Caps this year, but Ovechkin is sweet.

Somehow Ducks are supposed to win the SC according to pretty much every analyst I've heard. I don't quite know how that works out, but it'd be cool if they did.

Rangers all the way. I am a huge NY sports fan, like my father before me...and his father before him. (yankees, rangers, jets are my teams)

A similar thing happened regarding the hat trick when I attended a Rangers game. This drunk guy behind me threw his drunk friend's hat, but it hit me in the back of the head. So I threw it back, and they took it lol. (i wasnt gonna keep it) These guys were so drunk you wouldn't even believe how funny it was. They were trying to start chants, but all there chants sounded retarted (or drunk) One guy got up and started singing the song that jews sing when they have someone on the chair and throw the chair up and down. It was SOOO funny. Me and my cousin were laffing SOOOO hard! That was the best experience i've ever had at a hockey game, the actual game was even good lol
