Anyone seen the previews or the trailer for the movie Saw 2?I mean I'm not a scary movie fan, but this movie looks pretty sweet.People trapped in a room, have to find an antidote to survive, and there's all these clues and stuff around the house.I just gathered that info from the trailer, but there was this other part where some guy finds a key and a note, and the note says "Do Not Use This Key to Open the Door" and of course, they do and when the guy turns the key, it triggers a gun and fire's right at this guy who's looking through the peekhole or whatever.I dont really know, but that prewiew looks awesome, and I was wondering if anyone else has seen the previews, and what they think about it.

have you seen the orginal? I watched it on a plane trip and scared the hell outta a little girl, but besides, two guys were chained to the opposite sides of a underground room, which resembles an old rotty restroom, with a dead man laying int he middle. They go through tasks left by a video tape an one guy at the end goes to the extremem and cuuts off his foot to be free, he crawls over to the dead mans body, and finds a taoe. He listens, and you find out the killer is a person slowly dying of a killer disease, and that the man on the floor dead was really alive and the actual killer. The trick was he had another guy playing the game on the two men locked int he room and if he didnt, then the killer would kill that guys family. Its a comlicated movie, But if you dont mind the goryness it is really good! Cant wait for II!

Well, you pretty much just ruined the whole first movie for me. Thank you for that.

deloused, Saw was released last Halloween. Oddly enough, I cannot believe YOU have not seen it -- so catch up. [lol] At any rate, I am gonna preview it next week I think - just because of what a fan of #1 I became (thus provoking me to actually own it). I mean, the bad guy wins? Who saw that coming??? Me neither ...

Saw was ok but it wasn't that great. Anyone who liked this movie should go and rent Se7en, which is IMO one of the best horror/thriller movies around. Saw II looks like something that would interest me, but I don't think it will blow me away.

^Yeah I've checked some reviews around the internet, a lot of them compared Saw to Seven, but said it wasn't as good as Seven, and anyone know what's with the mask the killer is always wearing?I mean, I heard it was to conceal his identity to the 2 guys he was messin with, because he was the "dead" guy in the middle of the room, but I'm not completely sure, why he has it for Saw 2.

I just watched Saw (1) last night and I honestly thought it wasn't that good of a movie.

This second one looks a bit more interesting though.

If you are not a fan of actual mysteries with a plot, then rent Friday the 13th for your typical no-brainer "cheerleader-dies-in-a-nightgown" flick. However, if you enjoy an actual movie that makes you think about what is going on, the original Saw may work for you. Honestly, it was not spectacular (as in great cinema movie making) as one of the writers is actually the co-star (Adam) and the whole movie had only 8-10 characters in it, but IMO the ending brought a smile to my face, and that's just the way I roll. I am looking forward to the next one, for two reasons:

1. There will be more pieces to figure out in this puzzle, and,
2. "Oh yes, there will be blood"

;-)

Me too, except for I think Saw and Saw 2 look cool, and I can't looked scared in front of chicks when I go to see it, jk, but I used to be terrified of scary stuff, now I'm just afraid of haunted houses, the movies are fine.Btw, good reason for wantin to see Saw 2 Tcon [:)]

FYI -- I will be seeing this tonight, so I should have a report for ya'll tomorrow. Of course, I shall not give away ANY details about the ending in case it is actually a good one!!

EDIT:

One word: WOW! This movie rocked and actually smoked the first one, big time. I will caution the movie goer (besides some pretty aggressive language), if you have not seen #1 then #2 will make some sense, but not total. However, the last 10 minutes of this movie ... simply amazing. Cheers.

I liked it but hated the end. Same with the first. They where like completely different movies. The first was based on mystery and suspence while this one was action and suspence. It really wont make sense unless you have seen the first one and they are both pretty graphic. I really cant decide which one was better.

How could you hate the end?
That makes the movie ... geesh man ... come on and grow an imagination. Image

Hmm it doesnt look that great to me. I guess ive kind of been put off horror movies because i havent seen any actual scary ones lately. The last one i saw was the one with sarah michelle geller in it. I cant remember thename but i didnt think it was very good. The best scay film has to be the exorcist, LMFAO, its so funny when the guy looks like hes aiming at a really perfect spot on the girls arm with an injection while shes going mental, and then he just pulls his arm right back and stabs her anywhere! Its just so weird. The best scary movie ive seen is the ring, or Gothika, or something really confusing like that.

The obvious interpretation though is that this is a horror film, it is not - nor is it meant to be. #1 was unexpected so many classified it (incorrectly) as a horror film. Now that you know the premise is for it to be a mind game ... the "horror" theme never enters the picture.

Well, yes and no. It is kind of like a mystery, you know it is a game - and the rules are clear, and it is a thriller because you never know whom is actually controlling who. ;-)
