CK - Design for yourself and quit worrying about comments from those who either can barely design themselves or who should just shut up and stop ruining this game for others. (Woodie, this is NOT directed at you so yank your panties out of your crack and hit pause before you reply ... LOL) It was meant for others who may seek to comment here as well.

Anyway, all I am saying is design for yourself ... design what makes you happy and gives you joy at the end of the day -- end of story.

^Ok, so basically what I'm getting from this message is that you think I can design ok, but you think a lot of other people can't design. I think what CK is really looking for is acceptance from some of the other designers. I'm just saying that his turn is not the way I would do it, but if it makes him happy he should go ahead and do it.

And TCon, I don't wear panties despite what you might think. If you want someone who wears panties, all you have to do is look to CKMWM.

I would have to test the ride in order to see how it rides. If it delivers a desired effect or, maybe a special effect, I usually stick with that. Even if it breaks from the norm, like a hill on my wooden coaster that goes "airtime-> airtime+lats-> laterals-> airtime+lats-> Airtime" It enters with lats and airtime but in the center the airtime dies to just above floater - the speed remains but instead of one solid lateral airtime hill like so many tried to get me to do, I felt that breaking it into two parts will scare the crap out of people. You dont expect to get 2 moments of seperate airtime from a hill that doesnt pump ;)

It all depends on the forces and the flow of the ride. I would advise to complete a ride and then take suggestions. If not, youll end up designing just what others want and may compromise your own designs. Just wait till the end and then take suggestions. Then mix those in with your next design - just never give up your own style and ideals.

Plus if you just do what others say, it will NEVER get finished! :P

Are you exactly sure about that? Looking at it again, I think I see that you would just like me to shut up. I think I'll stop giving build suggestions out, and only say that what he has is looking good so that he stays with it instead of doing what everyone else wants. There, does that make you happy?

Woodie --- pay attention cause this is ONLY for you man.

I was telling the lad to design coasters that make him happy, and not too put too much stock into what other people say unless they are testing it. Commenting off of a picture is useless as there is no way to really tell what is going on without testing the ride. Thus, he ought to focus on designing a coaster that makes him happy -- and not try to please others.

Believe me, I have had plenty of experience in trying to please others -- hence this thread (http://www.coastercrazy.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9329), and the reason there has not been a TConwell design posted since. Now, since I wrote that thread I have created 5 coasters -- all would bring rates of 7s and 8s and 9s from the usual suspects, but do you see them? No. Why? Because I finally got it ... Design for me, and forget about what everyone else thinks I ought to do.

Is that clear enough? If not, I give up -- you're on your own.

You don't get 2500 points. It's just a temporary thing that can be changed.

Ahhh... that's nothin'. I've changed his and coasterboaster's in a couple weeks, costing me 5000 points, but it's been worth it. Also someone whose name shall not be mentioned has helped me out.
