wow theyr moving quite fast like Goliath, I like the white stripe on the track. This year has to be one of b&ms Biggest years:

-Patriot WOF

B&M Zero g roll's are gorgeous, this is no exception, bint flickingly gorgeous infact.

This looks like it will be such a good B&M inverter. I love zero Gs aswell [:D] Ive only ever ridden 2 i think though.

ive been on the great whites, batmans the rides, superman krypton coaster, batman dark knights, SCREAMS, Alpengeists, and great bears, and all of them were great. IMO the best was SKC because of the negative g's you were way outtayour seat especially when i sat int he big seat!! Even though i dont have to lol. But they are great elements and the one on this coaster should be no different

Station brakes? but wheighted?

Well judging by AIRs lift hill, they have some serious problems with it. It is very touch and go, it feels as though you are going to stop at any point whilst going up the lift, so I would expect that is an improvement on the prototype design they used for AIR

I live 2 miles away from the red arrow base and many of my friends live in the RAF base where they are stationed, many people come and go because they are kids of the RAF guys. I dont need to pay to watch em, i see em every day. Even when im in lessons we occasionally have to stop when they fly over as they are loud. I always get told the story of when one crashed in the village in 1987. I dont know why though. lol. I was so jealous though, my friend got to do work experience with them!!!!!! [:O][V] He didnt get to ride in one obviously, but he got to meet the pilots and sit in one. [:(!][:)] By now you may hve guessed i love the red arrows.

I know for sure its the lift motor; the weights I don't know. Don't go by me but I'd guess it was to balance something since weight is a variable on the train. It could be 0lbs over norm or 4800lbs over norm once you fill it with people. I'm sure someone like Real will be able to shine on this moment.

I think the weight are to add tension on the chain itself. I reckon that chain runs down onto the chain of the lift and adds tension to make it work better or something, that's my guess as to what the weights are anyhow

^Tensioning the chain would make it run smoother over the gears and not be loose. And in going with Jakizle's comment, next year will be a big year for B&M's.

Gouldy is correct. Its just to keep the tension on the chain even while the train engages and disengages from the chain.

And that makes sense; it seems from memory that they weights moved when the train entered the lift and went down the first drop.

I think that park is also building another B&M besides the flyer, but I could be wrong. Anyways the park is schedule to open 2005, although it probably won't be till 2006 I'm guessing.

B&Ms are really cool, regardless of their intensity level.

Pictures of the technical stuff are coasters are really cool, because when you look at them and find out what they do, you gain understanding in their specific role in the big picture.

The Patroit looks like a ride with class. The white stripes on the track really pull off that sleek look.

If their is only one thing that I can say is, that I wish the layout was a tad more original, but that's not a big peeve.

This is really shaping up to be a winner, and a great addition for WOF. [:)]

You mean Worlds of Fun; though it could be cloned to Valleyfair.

that page is entitled "STEEL ERECTION IS COMPLETE!" ... come on now? that sounds like something a superhero has problems with in the morning ... I'm so immature.

Still though, it is one beautiful looking ride to be fair, but what B&M isn't ... except that new flying coaster in whatever country it is in the far east, ick, what the hell is that colour?

i call it barf. Atleast it looks like it. I wonder if its a clone, or custom?
