I now have No Limits successfully transfered to my laptop but I think I am going to need a better graphics card to support the game becuase the simulator mode is not working very good. Dirk I noticed you were building a coaster on your laptop. Is it possilble to upgrade grapics cards for laptops? If so what kind of card do you have Dirk?

Nope, never. You might be able to bring it into a shop and have on installed but if you can, its a hefty Fudgin` fee. So you should either get a new desktop, or if you already have a desktop, just use that.

That is one INSANE video card dude, I wouldnt pay $750 bucks for it though, unless it was made of gold.

My Laptop came with built on ATI Radeon Graphics. So im lucky, But I dont think you can upgrade the video on your notebook.

Well, you always can try to update the drivers. Make sure you have the latest software to support the graphics card. Also the laptop is about 3 yrs old i guess. So guess yourself what kind of card will be inside. Since i don't know it myself currently at the moment.
Also the laptop is a little slower then my regular pc. For example, a few old unfinished tracks, came because of the 3ds into the 10fps. While it keeps on my pc with a nice 30fps.
I'll say, you just have to live with the slower version in the simulator. As long it doesn't slow down to 2 or 3 fps, on just a coaster then everything is alright.

Why not just use NL on your pc instead of a laptop? Wouldn't that be better?

Yea but you better have a mouse to go along with it, Building a track with the touchpad mouse is a PAIN.

I'm always on my Apple Powerbook G4, and it's only got a Radeon 9600 VRAM 64mb. Runs No Limits great for being such a weak card. Just another benefit of macs, they have real video cards. But really, No Limits is very lenient on system specs.

The 9600 for even today isn't that bad of a card. Its obviously a value sort of card and can run most games pretty well with decent level of detail.

^First, lets try to type better. And second, usually I believe the graphics are on the main board when things need to be small. PCI slots are a big waste of space.
