Dance Dance Revolution

Who doesn't know it actually, DDR. Sometimes better know as Dance dance revolution. Always i've wanted stuff like this. Or just already the game. It was first a game on my moms mobilephone. Later i've seen some internet versions and now I thought it was time to get my own ddr + the dancepads. So I bought friday the game for pc, the dancepads (good, but soft pads, those iron were too expensive [;)]), and an adapter so i can make it all work for pc. Money has all been payed and stuff is on their way to my house [:D]. Meanwhile i got another program called stepmania. A DDR like game where you can insert your own songs, add other peoples songs, etc. I'm pretty good at a low level .

Anyway now for the poll question:
Does anyone else own a DDR at home? If so, what are your experiences with it? [:)]

I own it along with both DDR Mixes for the XBox. We also have a metal dance pad we got off eBay but it sure as heck beats those crappy soft pad things.

Ive AAA'd a Standard song and gotten just an A on heavy. I played it more awhile ago and Ive played it much less lately but I havent lost my touch. Similarly to riding a bicycle, give me a few songs and Im back to normal B-Aish on Heavy. My feet just arent fast enough too double or triple A songs.

I suck at it, but I always get a good kick out of the people who play it constantly at the malls. I was just watching some random ppl play it and this guy walked up to me and wanted to challange me at it.

I've played it at my friend's house, but compared to you guys, I'm no good. I'm all light all the time.

I was all light it just takes doing the same songs over and over to memorize the beats and patterns. Also, memozing the correct steps helps. I dont mean just the right arrows to push, but with what foot to push it in what sequence. It makes or breaks alot of combos.

i love DDR but thnk god im not obsessed like some people...with xangas having DDR layoutz. crazy but w/e. hope to get the new game soon.

I got it last christmas and I played it excessively over the summer when my parents made me "watch" my brother.

I am wrking on heavy but all I have is Ultramix, I am getting Ultramix 2,3 on christmas. Does anyone else play them at amusement parks cause if I see one I play and I get people to watch and it makes me nervous and I screw up!

i play ddr alot, becasue i can get a AAA on butterfly on heavy [:)]
i can almost beat max 300 on heavy without falling over dead. but ddr rocks [dorkhat] and i have a red octane mat, not the metal but the foam padded ones. and my brother has ddr max, ddr max 2, ddr extreme and ddr extreme 2. i have step mania on my comp too

im acctully playin DDR right now but extreme and i just AA the song A

where do you download that ddr thing for the computeR? it looks fun

Get a life people, DDR is just a huge moneymakin machine for some huge Chinese industry. Actually I've never tried it, but one of my friends has it.I think its stupid

I use a metal dancing platform. I love Dance Dance Revolution, so I ordered my pad on www.lik-sang.com

The program I use is called DWI and I have about 700 songs on my machine. [:)]

Meh, DDR is alright. My friend used to have it when i was like 13, and we all used to go round thinking it was well good, but it aint really my thing no more. I love proper dancing [:D] Boddy popping and stuff is so much fun to do, and i got a few distinctions when doing all my modern theatre grades. Yeah proper dancing shits all over DDR, it may not be seen as the coolest things for lads to do, but seriously i can hold my body wait for alot longer than any of my friends cos of it. [:)]

Anyway DDR is alright, i dont like how much money its made though from loads of different games that are basically the same. The worst is the britney one. My sister wanted that and its terrible.

Yeah i do hip hop... Real hip hop... just got back from New York. those classes are insane! DDR is alright... but the music is all the same! and that is really lame!

I like DDR, but I just haven't tried it enough. I played it once or twice in the arcade, and really had fun, but I guess I never really got into it too much. I have seen the home version, but haven't bought it yet.

when i tryed to do step mania i have no songs? how do i get them?

download them, check the stepmania site for packs, characters and songs.
I have now like 200 songs inside [:)]

o really? well can you send me all of them so i dont screw up my computer?
