IMO the Boss hands down. No other ride can approach how visually overwhelming the Boss is upon approaching the park, and it's one of the few rides out there that remains just as visually appealing even while riding it, the wooden support work on the turnaround's is far beyond any other woodie supportwork IMO. As for steel coasters, I'd have to say Desperado at Primm in NV/CA, the fact that the 3 hotels are the only other things in view and the coaster towers over them gives it a real "majestic" feeling, and the coaster looks amazing from all angles, especially when approaching the casino.

I was looking around, and I really like how Dragon Kahn looks. It blends very well with the enviroment, even without theming.

Another good one is Superman The Escape down in Australia. It just looks so cool down under.

I absolutely LOVE how the Georgia Scorcher looks when you are walking beside it outside the park. I also love how it sounds.

i think volcano looks great at night when the fire comes out of the top and the darkness hides some of those ugly supports.
dueling dragons is nice too. the 2 loops and the huge dragons on either side make for great viewing and phots. and then u walk into the entrance and see the 2 tracks twisted all together. very cool.
i must agree, the terrain and scenery of nemesis, even though i've yet to ried it, make it the most visually stunning coaster i have ever seen

yep, it is a shame you didnt get to ride it, and yes busch gardens will probably always be my favorite park, its just such a nice atmosphere, as you probably know, it was rated most beautiful theme park. and even though PKD has some nice rides, its just not fun how they cram everything in there, i mean look at HSXLC, its a great ride, but its looks slopply like they just crammed it in there, ugh its annoying, if you know what i mean. but HSXLC, is my fav ride there[:D]

Yeah Busch Gardens really is a great park, and all of the coasters really use the terrian good and blend in nicely with the scenery. They have fewer but nicer coasters than most parks have. I would have to say Alpenghist looks the best though.

Batman Knight Flight, Geauga Lake, it'll always be Batman to me even though after Cedar Fair purchased the park form Six Flags it changed to Dominator. The theme used to be great. One of the few unique floorless coasters! And it made records for that incredible loop!

Can't believe nobody mentioned the Belmont Giant Dipper in San Diego yet. Classic woodie, right on the beach in SoCal, and painted in coral and teal with white supports.

Can't go wrong!

^ it's not very pretty, imo. Its a fun ride, but not pretty at all. I mean its so cluttered with flat rides around it. But hey that wave machine thing is pretty awsome.

^ I would say Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz beach boardwalk looks nicer. Ever since i bought my first coaster book when i was 8, ans saw the huge spread picture of Giant Dipper inside it next to the beach, i was like wowwwwww, it just looks so, old and classic. [:)]

well coolbeans i went to belmont park in the summer, and i though it looked nice. The ride was also pretty cool. But i liked how they crammed the "claw" into the park. Pretty fun stuff!

whoever said the Rattker, i also like to agree with you. IT looks Gigantic when your in the park, and from the parking lot its the only coaster you can see really well. I ove how it uses the wuarry walls, and it never dissapoints. They just need to bring some new wood and make that drop go to the bottom on the "canyon"! This pic makes it look gigantic!

jakizle, you should've ridden Rattler in its first season. The drop DID go all the way down to the bottom and it was just SICK. There was a twist in it near the middle, where you'd top the hill and sorta be looking at the helix. You'd think that's where you were going, then right before the edge of the cliff, there was a slight twist and the drop got STEEPER and just plunged the rest of the way down. The bottom was covered by that shed (for falling rock) so you never saw where the drop ended up. They took your freeze-frame photo at the bottom, and the looks of sheer TERROR on the riders' faces was really funny. If I had the time and money, I'd have bought several of those shots that I saw, even though I didn't know anyone on the train.

The good news is that the reprofiling and ruining of that first drop actually made the second drop better. You used to ccccrrraaawwwllll over the top and ease into the curve drop, and now you practically get airtime as you sail over it.

o ive been on the rattler around 100 times, but after the drop changed. I love it to death. big drops, those awesome diving turns off the cliffs, the triple helix, a tunnel thorugh the quarry walls, and a sttaion fly by.

Lucky bastard Minicooper!!!!

This may be odd but the best appeal for a coaster to me, is Oblivion at Alton Towers. It just has something to it that draws me into it, and thats hard considering I live in Illinois, but the pics. really do[^]. I beleive its the simplicity of it cause when a coaster looks simple but consists of alot, those truly draw me in. Others would be...

i've seen pics of oblivion and i must agree. the way it swoops around everything in the little mechanical area (forgot what it's called) it's very nice. the tunnel with walking area around it must be amazing. i can just imagine standing within feet of that montrous track and hearing the WHOOSH BOOM as the train plunges into the darkness. god i want to go on an european coaster trip...
