yesterday (april 7th) i drove 3 hours to get there, and it was worth it!

chiller: the robin side was testing all morning and finally opened afternoon. went on it once. the new manuver where the barrel roll was is dissapointing. no airtime, not much. i liked the barrel rolls much better. the batman side is still missing a lot of track. there was really no line and we just walked on right into front row.

batman the ride: again, absolutally no ride. we just walked on into the back row and found the ride rather intense and much smother than i remembered. a good ride.

lost treasure train: it was closed along with most of kiddy land

el torro: wow! it was really the first thing open and had a line that lasted about a half an hour for the front row. that ride was crazy! had never been on it before but i strongly reccomend it to anyone wanting to go on the best of the best. my first shock was the wood they sed to build it.. or lack thereof. the ride looks like it used much less wood than other rides that size. secondly, i have no idea how they constructed the track, it looks prefabricated... on a woody! thirdly, it has an elevator cable lift system like millenium force over at CP. i actually felt light going over the top because it really whips you up. then the drop is the most intense drop i've ever been on. SROS at SFNE is the closest i can compare it to. then you drop again, and again, and again, and again [:)] it doesnt stop! also, it's smoother than most steel rides i've been on... and it's wood! how did they do that?! by far my favorite ride. an engineering masterpiece. this ride is seriously a work of art!

scream machine: not awful, not great. a walk on again. a bit bumpy around the corkscrews. i wouldnt mind if they tore it down and put something interesting there.

kingda ka: it was closed most of the day but i managed to get on it twice. (no line again.. walk on) front row then back. that thing is fast! i hadn't been on it before and nothing can prepare you for such speed. wow!

medusa: just as i remembered it.. but without the line! a walk on yet again. we stayed on it twice in a row. never even got off. a very smooth ride.

Nitro: again, walk on! we got on it twice in a row again. terrific ride with a great drop.

mine train: not as painful as i remember. again no lines. once was enough.

rolling thunder: ouch! that thing got rough! it needs a paint job desperatly and needs some major re-tracking. it had pumps and bumps all ove it. i'll never get on that again!

skull mountain. got on it 6 times in a row, again, no lines!! it's a fun little ride. good for families.

superman: how boring! i was expecting it to be cool. it was like an inverted ride. nothing special except it was slow with a rather dull layout. dont waste your time.

overall, el torro is the best ride in the country!! wow! and i actually got on it while it was snowing. we had a blast. can't wait to go back!
