do PCI cards fit in your case??

I've gotten like 3 of em and they're all too short for my case. its really stupid and pretty make-shift because I had to bend em up and tape em to the I/O slots.

So how do you like the AMD dual core processor? I really want to get one some time. Surprised you didn't go with the nvidia 7800 GT though. Those are quite awesome.

No-name case? that's an Antec SuperLanboy im 99% sure. Nice system, but you shuold've gone for the toledo core dual processor. Nice pick of other components, although the vid card *could* have been a bit more upgraded, but it's not needed unless you're a hardcore gamer. Or you're like me, be a gamer but turn down all your settings so the games run on your ghetto pc. :D

Yeah, it is, I own one. They're very nice mid-tower cases, pefect foot-rest level [:D].

Antec is DEFINATLY a Name Brand case for the custom builders. I see them through UPS all the time, not to mention they make some popular models.

Nice comp -- now go get yourself a Cat5e or Cat6 cable that is not coming apart at the RJ-45.

^LOL someone cut the cord a little far back. Id reccommend buying a crimping tool. Works wonders and made all of my cuts clean and perfect.

Grr...I both love to network and hate it at the same time.

I would of went with an Athlon x2 4000+ and an X1800XT instead of your CPU and GPU setup. Nevertheless, nice rig.

Darn it, I almost forgot .... shrinking the size of your pictures before uploading them to a forum is NEVER a bad idea either. Image[;)]

I don't think using Xfire/SLI is a good idea, you spend a lot more money, yet you could get better performance simply by using a better card, which is a lot cheaper. If you can, go for the 7800 or just leave it with what you have. But nice comp anyways.

SLI x800/X850 Crossfire editon

Wow, that crossfire is a whole nother $200 all in itself. I myself am completely happy with my x700 Pro AGP, so i can't even imagine what your card would be like.

I used the BFG Tech 7800 GT OC, sadly it lags on lags on CS:S on high settings and only gets 25 FPS on Nolimits. My rig with the 2 x850 gets 100 FPS on nolimits and never lags on cs:s. So i cant complain.

ATI cards run source based games much better than Nvidia cards do.

The x800 series is just fine. SUre its not as powerfull as the x1800 but you get alot more performance for you buck than the 1x00 series.

Yeah, EA has a rapid habit of grinding my last gear with their "hell it compiles, ship it" attitude. If they would only take a few more months on stuff -- wow, we would actually have workable pieces of art.

Hey SF ... are we coming to an agreement and not slaying each other? [lol]

How can you use two x850's in crossfire mode when the mobo is made for SLI? Shouldn't you be using a crossfire board?

so the rumor about ati crossfire-ready (and editon) cards can work on SLI boards is true. I know what I'm putting in the first computer I'm going to built.

I'm must likely be using the x1600pro cards because they have 512mb of memory and newegg has it for $150.
