NL2 by 2010??? Hope that was an exaggeration.

Nice to know it'll be all new code, though. I hope for included tools like smoothers, etc. Would also like to be able to control gravity and friction. I hate the way you can't do a 32-car train and have any sort of realistic movement.

What would everyone else like to see added or changed?

No but the original nolimits took a really long tme didnt it? But everyone still thinks its awesome, which it is! With nolimits2 though, if its totally different everyone will be a beginner, wont they? Which will be weird. Unless elementary will still work with it. I hope they have more realistic sounds aswell [:D] lol. If it has all ive suggested i will be happy.

i agree, a B&M flyer would be nice, 4D, water, theres something else i cant think of it right now though

and a patch to fix the too large .3ds in the editor bug

and a smoother would be nice though, even though its cheating in my opinion.

Hmm, by 2010 I'll be a sophmore in college and probably won't be able to fully enjoy the benefits of NL2.

I hope the next patch of NL that is to be released in 2006 is at least early 2006, although I doubt it :-

Hopefully NL2 will at least use DX9, because it will be completely obsolete by that time, but better than the simple openGL we have now. As for the patch, I hope they fix the minor but annoying glitches and graphic problems. But oh well, going back to the basics, it's all free so I can't really ask for much, though I'd be willing to pay for an update that fixes those issues. Examples are the 2d trees, station railings, and catwalks, while the newer trains are in very high 3d, causing it to lag a lot, and I can't afford a better video card. Oh well, what can I do.

right now the things in NL shouldn't be causing it to lag as much as it does because most of the objects in it are pretty simple with the exception of the newly modeled trains.

I'm soooooo glad we have some kinda of announcement(good or bad like I stated last time [;)]

That makes no sense lol. Vista is to use DX10 I thought, and that will probably be released before or around the time the patch is I'd bet.

I wonder what the graphical ugrade will be on NL2...with all that powerful equipment coming out. It'd be awesome if it was photo-realistic...but I don't know if they have the money to do it that good.

yes rob your are correct. Everyone has been saying where they'll be when nl2 is released aproximetly. Living in San Antonio and being a life long Longhorn fan will make me go there. I love them, and they better kick USC's ass while i wer my new rose bowl vince young jersey. I have never got lower than an A on any report card, so i hope getting in wont be too hard. I just need to make decisions on what to do with my career. I guess engineering would be good for coaster building!!!

We'll probably be on DX11 by the time NL2 is released, and DX9 will be outdated. But I did read that he doesn't plan to even use DX9 for NL2, a page that says the current NL requires a powerful video card, when it requires a Geforce 2. (but the page is old anyway) As for the other part of my post, I thought it'd be better to fix than to try to add as many coaster types as possible, but I can't do much about it, nearly everyone else want's the 4d's and flyers.
