Whats the best way to make a dive loop or immelmann in elementary. IS there any way in HSAK or any other formulas.

I think someone made a very basic immelmann & dive loop exit/entrance formula, I will check to see if I have it.

For diveloops -

Initialization
radius = 9.75
tightness = 1.2
stretch = 1
conroll=1

Formula:
x = sin[t * pi] * radius + t * Pi*radius * tightness
y = radius - cos[ pi * t] * radius
z = Pi * radius * stretch * t
b=0
x=(x+5)/1.748
x=x*.8
z=z*.8

For immelmen just add "ft=1-t" to the top of the formula section then replace each "t" with "ft". Or just reverse it in the purg.

Thank Buster for the formula.

JY, I have a question. You know the S-bend that transfers from the lift curve to the bottom curve in each drop? How do I create that in Elementary? Is it hand-built, or what?

When I try to handbuild it, it is always giving me pumps.

Use HSAK or something and rotate it in the purg so that it has leads. The normal hill bottom and top included with elementary have no leadins or outs.

I have a question, when I enter this in the Formula it says Error in Formula: variable sin is a function in line 1. How do I get rid of it and make it work?
