I was just wondering how you can do this site w/o pop-ups. It is the best site I have found and there are no pop-ups? keep it that way and people will keep coming here!

With a lot of work resisting the urge to resort to them? I manage to gather enough $ monthly to cover the expenses for it so that is why it doesn't have ads. Though some extra revenue would be nice [;)] Considering the millions of hits we get a month [:p]

or was #1, we're #2 now, rollercoastertycoon2.com is currently first though we usually end up kicking them off in a matter of hours/days [;)] We've been up there for quite some while, rct2 is rather big site so the traffic there of google bots is pretty big, here we get tons of google, alexa, aol etc bots visiting the place [:D]
anyway we just keep it without ads because we can still do it and thanks to the generosity of the site sponsors, like you, it helps keep the site longer, ad free. [:)]

Actually, pop up ads don't really bother me that much if I really enjoy the site. The only time i've ever been annoyed with pop up ads is when certain sites, like coasterbuzz, overwhelms you with them. At one time, even though the webmaster denied it was happening, it was creating 1-2 pop up ads everytime you clicked on a link.

You know, it seems to me that the game makers for the different coaster simulators you support here should be kicking in some money to help offset the costs. As big as this site has become, you are doing them a considerable monetary favor by running this site. It only seems fair IMHO that they should help you out.

I cant say the same kev, I think they are a pain in the a$$. Wouldn't stop me from coming to this site though, but the biggest problem for me is when you open a page the first pop up really isnt that bad, the problem starts when you keep going forward then back and that same popup keeps coming at ya evertime.

exactly what you said the Mr.Lostst8ofmind i dont mind one or two but if they apear every link i clink i'll simply eave that web page (unless its important [;)][;)])
The programs to block ad's doesnt work either, imo there just a scam, i stil get the same amount of them just the hardware takes up more space on my computer

I agree with what you guys are saying, and I get annoyed by persistant pop-ups every time a page loads too, instead of just once per session. But if this site had no choice but to incorporate pop-up ads in order to keep running, I would be willing to live with it.

I guess the ideal situation would be if all of the regular users of this site would click on the visa/mastercard button on the left side of the screen, and follow the instructions afterward. [:D]

Popups don't annoy me that much unless they're as bad as coasterbuzz or worse, those are terrible.
