Well, any players out there?

I am on the verge of thinking its the best game I have ever played and possibly one of the greatest despite some flaws in the multiplayer. Its hard to explain you just have to play it to understand the complete awesomness of it.

My tag is CoasteReal (what a suprise) and Ive only had it about 2 weeks but Im up to 1600 points so far. This last update has REALLY helped me since Im mostly a sniper and special ops and the netcode SUCKED for assault rifles and sniper rifles. But all is well now. Especially since they fixed the Air-Air stuff.

^This makes CS:Source seem like childs play.

Plus its far more realistic. If you like to play in squads in teams of up to 32 and work toward goals, this games for you.

If you like to "rush" into battles and just lay fire down, then go play CS or the other host of FPS shooters. CS just doesnt offer enough variety. Just now I was a Sniper, Medic, Engineer and a Special Ops. Ohhh, so great.

I can honestly say i was dissapionted with BF2. The game play is just slow and the maps are honestly too big. It takes a good 5 minutes to get across a map in a jeep. Simply too big, i also hate the fact it takes about 60 shots to kill anyone or like 3 headshots. I much prefer Call Of Duty 2. The small maps and close combat is just awesome fun, not to mention the satisfaction of always beating everyone else online, but then again i have been playing Call Of Duty online since the first game came out a couple of years ago

BF2 is really good game overall. It's very realistic and I love it when it's really quite but suddely there explodes everything near you and enemy aircrafts are flying over you.

Other nice thing in the game is that you'll always have something to achieve. If you check the stats of the best BF2 player ever, you'll see that even he hasn't accomplished everything... IF you would accomplish everything there is in the game, you could buy some expansion pack which has lots of new challenges!

I am still playing the good old Joint Operations, and won't buy BF2 because I don't like how the game "feels" (I know that sounds strange)...

Hmm, what maps are you talking about? I can get across a 64 player map in a HUMVEE in about 2 minutes.

Glad you explained what COD2 was though. I did have the demo and loved it but if the gameplay is that different from BF2 then Ill refrain from the 60 bucks. Ive played my share of fast paced games and they gey old real fast. Its the same thing just repeated over and over again. After 8 years of that Im ready for a change - BF2.

BTW the last patch did fix alot of those netcode issues and its alot easier to kill an enemy now. Doesnt take the 60 shots or 3 headshots.

BF2 is both realistic and unrealistic at the same time. Some but not all of the weapon usage is very realistic and its still a run and gun shooter not as much as Joint Operations was, but still run and gun. And don't get me started on the new patch that came out. . .

Another thing that annoys the hell out of me in BF2 is the constant air strikes on some maps. As soon as you get to a flag you get 100 bombs come down on top of you, also tends to happen alot just when you spawn, which really is annoying as hell. As i said before, i much prefer the constant action of games such as Call Of Duty 2 rather than running around huge maps taking ages to find anyone
