I might join, but if I don't, can I download the templates anyway and make a coaster of mine for private viewing? (just to see what I can think of)

I decided I want to join, but can I download the templates for the rounds after I'll be eliminated but not enter them into the contest? (Assuming I'll be eliminated)

You can use any contest template on the site for any purpose. In the past, the Round 2 template from the original contest was used to make my "Ultimate Nightmare" coaster, and the Round 1 template from last year was used by Hansixx to make "Ganja", and I used it to make "Meteora". In conclusion, feel free to do anything you want with it.

By the way, if anyone wants to know what kind of templates will be included in this contest, just take a look at last year's match-up contest. Last year, we had a terrained B&M floorless, a tunnel-diving CCI/GG, A B&M dive machine, and an Intamin mini-hyper rocket. If you can find the pattern in those templates, you will have a basic idea of what this year's templates will be like. This contest will follow the same basic pattern, but updated for 2006.

If one of them's a woodie I'm screwed. I've never made a wooden coaster in my life and I've got no idea what's expected of one. [dunno]

^You better do some studying before the end of the contest, then. One of the rounds is a woodie.
