Look at the facts people if you were going to build a coaster you do not have to move the railroad track! So it is obviosly a family themed ride (Oh great a mountain ride[xx(]), but who knows. Just remember the moving of the tracks though.[;)]

I'll put my money on either a small Gerstlaur bobsled/Mahrer Sohne spinner or a non rollercoaster ride ie a log flume or perhaps even a water coaster. I highyl doubt it will be anything substantial, but then again it could be anything.

Why don't you have to move railroad tracks if your building a coaster? I know you could design the coaster around it... but there is always a possibility that they couldn't and a minor modification had to be made.

Lol, it'd honestly be slightly entertaining to see how upset everyone (at least coaster entusiasts) would be if they added a family ride, instead of some gigantic coaster abomnination.

Actually.....its probably gonna be a fixed ride, because i have been hearing lots of people complaining to them about how there are jsut coasters, and theyr already adding fixed rides(maxair and sky hawk)

I look forward to nearly every CP ride. But I'm getting tired of them being the one's to start the turning of thier own rumor mill.

personally im still waiting for a screamin' squirrel to land in the US. im not suggesting thats what CP has in store for 2007, but it dont see why six flags hasnt added one to their list of what seems to be a new ride for all of their main parks.

But that wont happen since Kinzel has stated that he wishes to end his long tenure with the company with a bang. Plus he was the one who somewhat started the whole "Coaster Arms Race" when he installed Magnum XL-200. After that the industry just went nuts.

So he defiantly will be looking for a coaster here. Whatever it is, its done and designed by now. If we see footers coming up anytime this year its gonna be big. So I hope we dont see footers till freaking August PLEASE.

CF has never put a CCI into any of thier parks, and I doubt they'll start now. ANy CCI built in thier parks were put in place by the old management. If anything, we could see an Intamin Wooden coaster.[:D]

Uhh. What about Shivering Timbers?

I doubt it will be a woodie, and like Real said, it will probably be a let down. They already have practically every ride in existance, but an Intamin looper wouldn't be bad.

Ghostrider as well...

^moving the tracks doesn't mean a darn thing. all it tells us is that they are clearing out a LOT of room for something.

I think we all saw this coming... Kinzel is retiring, and CP promised a long time ago to make something huge for him. We can only speculate. Here is what I believe about the chances of them building certain types of rides:

Wood Coaster: We can all dream, but I realistically doubt it. CF executives are not exactly wood fans. At an ACE event 3 years ago, I heard directly from one of them that they don't like all the maintenance that woodies require. Plus, it is a well known fact that the general public as a whole prefers steel coasters.

World-Record breaking giga/strata/tera: plausible. This would definitely fit the 'big' finish promise, but any coaster that big would be a bit too much like MF and TTD. Still, they've done it before, so why not again?

Family Coaster: Not a chance (imo). That is WAY too much land for CP to 'waste' on a family coaster. They already have 2, so do they honestly need another one? I think not.

Flat ride: I hope not. They have built flat rides 2 years in a row, so I have no reason to think of any reason for them to build a third one. If it is, I'm gonna be pissed.

New Water Ride: plausible. If they are keeping the station from WWL, threre is a logical argument for a water ride. If they do, I'd guess that it would be similar to Perilous Plunge.

B&M coaster: plausible. CP still doesn't have a floorless or a flyer, and rumors have been circulating about both for the last 3 years, so it would make perfect sense.

PERSONAL % PERDICTION OF EACH RIDE TYPE:

Wood: 10%
Steel: 90%
(I already gave the reason.)

<100 ft: 3% (what would this do? I hardly call this a 'bang'...
100-200 ft: 30% (most coasters fall in this range, so it seems likely.)
200-300 ft: 30% (almost every height record is here. CP likes 200+ footers)
300-456 ft: 2% (no way. why build a coaster so tall if you're not going to break the height record?)
World Record (457+): 35% ( I actually think there is a very good chance that CP is going for it all again)

Roller Coaster: 95% (it has been 4 years since TTD opened. Not since 1985 has Cedar Point gone more than 4 years without building a new coaster. Add in Kinzel's retirement, and I think it's all but certain that CP is getting a coaster for '07. Plus, White Water Landing was taken out a year in advance. That's an awfully long-term plan for just a lousy flat ride or kiddy coaster.)
Other: 5%
Both: 25%

Okay, peeps, that's my analysis. I'll be working at CP again this summer, so I'll be sure to bring my camera and take plenty of pictures of the construction area and any other place where mysterious things happen. I'm anticipating a record-breaking new coaster, so stay tuned this year. It is time!

Very nice analysis, I highly doubt it will be a record breaker though. They cant build anything really that is original to break a record. Building another L shaped rocket would be stupid because that would take away from TTD, and same with building another mega coaster and MF. So to me a logical thing would be to go for another record, perhaps Most inversions?

Theres always a chance that they will just rename Paddlewheel Excursions into, "Captain Kinzels Wild River Adventure" in honor of him. It works for me.

Exactly what percentage of the GP cares about originality? They're the ones that CP needs to attract to make money. And there are three proven things that the GP always loves.

1. Height
2. Speed
3. Inversions

I rest my case. I don't think originality issues would keep CP from building a record breaker.

I recently read in the newest ACE News newsletter that Gerstlauer was building something BIG in North America for 2007. And I quote,

"One of the largest coasters Gerstlauer has ever produced will be coming to North America for the 2007 season."

Personally, I wouldn't mind a 200+ ft tall Eurofighter.

But I realize that isn't very likely, capacity is a big thing for CP, and that's one of the biggest things B&M brings to the table. Since Flyers don't have good capacity, it will likely be a huge Floorless. Just my 2 cents.

^ wouldnt capacity be a bitch though if it was 200 foot? unless ofcourse they had like 12 blocks on the ride...but i mean, i could see a 200 foot eurofighter as a real pain in the ass for CP to handle, well, any park to handle. lol.

I agree with SFMM HOMIE. I don't think its going to be something that breaks speed and height. But the inversions record I believe. BnM would be the perfect ride to do so. Wether its flying or floorless, or what ever it is, thats what I want to see.

You mean you are stealing a ride made elsewhere? Ive already seen that ride. Dont even attempt to upload unless its YOUR file that YOU created.

It was created by Blast Coaster at Coaster-Net.com.
Found here: http://www.coaster-net.com/de/nl/nltracks.php
Its called Rocket Thrust 2007

Plus I see that you have used objects from my Top Thrill Dragster without permission. What else are you going to steal without asking?
