over the last couple of weeks, i have noticed a decrease in intelligence on this site. this is due to the fact that many members are typing in run on sentences using no puncuation, making it hard to understand their posts. and also they are typing in letters, not words, for instance, 'did u c dat coster?' also, spelling has become a huge problem on this site, so i believe that something should be done about it.

create a rule so that people have to type understandibly, or else they are banned for two weeks, to try to teach them a lesson.

^i disagree

Yeah, its annoying sometimes when people dont use correct grammer and stuff, but thats the reason i like WWS/CC forums. Sometimes it was late at night and i misspelled a little bit, and i was banned from forums, but here the Moderators and Admin are nicer, and its obviously not a rule that you have to use correct grammer and punctuation.

Just my thought, but i dont really mind anyway.

well its one thing to miss a word, but when you do it repeatdly, that is what i find annoying. screwing up a couple of times, no big, but when you constantly and consistantly type like a retard, you should get banned.

Thats a bit harsh. And people are busy they need to type like "did u c dat coasta" its easier and if you don't understand it, maybe the person reading is the unintelligent one. Not saying you ragan but you get the idea. But maybe it would be cool if there was a SPELL CHECK, not a banning or harsh consequences but god topic.

if ppl continue to make more of the 'non-sence' posts yes, like the CAPS-posts and when someone rushed the keyboard hoping for the right letters, they should be warned however, and if they have an explination, like being disliectic (why give a spelling-disease a hard to spell name?)

but i don't like to get banned because i just misspelled some thingies no-one really cares about

Ragan, you failed to capitalize and combine your sentences properly, so you wish to be banned for 2 weeks now?

lol, thats not my point wws. the point is, when you cant UNDERSTAND posts, they should be warned/banned. you can still understand my posts, even when i dont capitalize. but when you have posts like this: "nop i not even realative to him and cause i like coaster that is all cause probibly the new ride will be like gowing trough the station look like el toro its goes trough the old viper station and all so maybe CP new ride will do the same"

posts like this should give a warning to people, and if they were to continue to post like this, they should be banned. you cant tell me that you understand what is being said, when it gets to that point, action should be taken.

[lol] your title No It Isn't is a double negative disallowed in the English grammar, banned! j.k. I understand what you mean but simple, I don't have time to go warning people left and right, I have lots of things to do. trust me when I say my plate is full. Feel free to yell at them, I don't mind, just be ready for these people to yell back [:)]

You guys are amazing.

Did he say that youd be banned for mispelling a few words? Or even mispelling here and there? No.

Plus letting people do this promotes illiteracy and the continued useage of internet lingo which while ok in chat looks stupid on forums.

If you dont speak fluent English, thats ok we will understand.
If you have a real problem (like crisps) we will understand.

If you can speak English good and you just do it out of laziness - thats not good.

Take some pride in yourself and take the extra few SECONDS to make your posts look nice. Remember, what you say and how you say it is what people will know you by. The time you will save cutting corners using the crappy internet slang and not using proper English will not amount to anything.

Its your reputation. I dont "judge" but I can tell if a person is lazy or not just by their typing which tells me a good deal about their personality.

I think the rule is stupid but thats just me.

I don't have much to say on this topic. Its too hard of a thing to judge for Mods. I do agree that some people need to take more time when they're typing. Like myself[lol].

And kinda retarded. [:)] Thats why im here.

I type pretty fast so my errors are more just mistakes when i hit the wrong keys, well the majority of them are anyway. If i type in slang like i normally do to my friends (i type lik dis 2 me m8s from skwl and stuf like dat, bt nvrmind :) ) but i try not to bring it on to the forum. I think everyone should do the same. So i kind of agree with you ragan. Although i do forget myself sometimes and leave the occasional "cos" in, [:P] ooooooooooooooo daring [lol]
